Brother PTH110BK Durable P-Touch Black Label Printer

Great machine. We have a fair few of these at work. Durable, reasonably intuitive, QWERTY keyboard a must-have, tape quality exceptional. Eats through batteries VERY quickly, so I'd recommend getting rechargeable ni-mh, considering you're not getting the AC adapter included. N.B it comes with two screen protectors, the first one with a tab and there's a second without a tab, was wondering why the screen was all scratched up....

Had an earlier model very similar was only 30years old so reliable as( note to self do not put on floor where working and stand on it with a size 10) new modell works great. Think about printing several labels with about 4 spaces in between to save tape before printing, add a power supply to purchase as they are a little battery hungry, I like this model for cable labels and all

Awesome product with minor flaws.

Everything is simple, straight forward, and fluid. Much more Pro's than cons Con 1: The device wastes alot of unnecessary tape. Con 2: You need to press the uppercase button for every letter. Con 3: Charger sold separately. Asides these, the label printer is great! A worthy purchase and I will be buying another for my partner, Unless I win one of course ;)

Check the price of tape before you buy.

The tape is really really expensive, and it is entirely my fault for not looking when I bought this for almost nothing when you get the cashback deal. It is nicer to use than my old M model, however by default this churns through the tape with loads of extra space at either end of your printing plus the run out for the cutter. You can select your length but the unit forgets that everytime you reset to start again. Brother, I guess you gotta make money somehow, but I won't be buying tape @$42 per 8m.

Convenient and easy

As you would expect from a handheld label maker - easy to use and easy-to-understand layout. Having save slots is a nice touch. As for the cons - the keypad is slightly confounding for precise inputs. If you have fatter fingers, misinputs are common. Would've also been nice to see more font options (the three provided is adequate for most purposes, however).

Good labeller!

This is a great label machine, I was surprised at how nice the labels look once printed but like other reviews I agree it does use alot of label each end but if you write several together with an extra space between you can save label tape by cutting them yourself after printing. Very happy with my purchase although now I need more label tape it is much more expensive than the printer itself!

Good product

Really good product! My only complain is about the length of the imprint paper before and after every print. The instructions are precising this is due to the design of the ribbon. I just type everything to print at once and cut off the parts… but still very happy and highly recommend for the price compare to other brands

Good. Navigation could be improved a bit.

This printer does a good job, but sometimes navigating to change the setout or font or punctuation is a bit clumsy. I like the fact you can save a few well-used labels. I think you should be able to save more. I use it on my plant labels and so far they have withstood the sun far better than using a black marker pen on the labels. I'm happy with my purchase. You need to read the instructions and have a play with it to understand it's potential.

Great for house organisation!

Lots of customization options like picture icons and frame types are great fun to use around the house. The printed labels are clear and sharp, very easy to read. My printer does drain the 6 AAA batteries really fast, but I got a power adapter to minimize battery wastage and it works really well.

Lots of wasted tape!

I bought this today to label my storage boxes, it works well with plenty of functions. Selected this over a dymo label maker due to the fluoro tape avaliable. However... there is a lot of wastage when using any margin other than "Full" (about 25mm per print...), see the image attached. Coming from a dymo at work, I was suprised this is by design. Consider batch printing with chain function
