Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 700ml

I feel bad sipping on something other than Woodford. But the guy at our local store told me I had to try Buffalo Trace…some guy had come into the store earlier and asked for it and he told that guy they didn’t carry it…when I inquired about it he was shocked that I had never it. And then went to the back and got me a bottle. It’s not even expensive compared to Woodford…it was like $28 if that. This is now my go to, but apparently if you don’t have a liquor store hookup it’s hard to get. But I’m here to spill the tea! So my guy at my local liquor store only sells me 1 bottle…then I went to Walmarts Liquor store and they were only allowed to sell 1 bottle per customer. ( you’d think they would want to make profit in sales for it but it’s soo hush hush) I mean it is good and will get you RIGHT after one drink, after 2 you get the giggle effect, and by 3 you will swipe right on all your bumble profiles so be careful 😂

I’ve recently become interested in bourbons and began reading as much as I could about the various brands. The Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, KY produces some of the worlds best bourbons. Expressions like Pappy Van Winkle, W.L. Weller, Blanton’s. Eagle Rare, to name just a few. Their are different types of drinkers to speak value to. For people using it as a mixing bourbon, its full flavor mixes well without losing many of the bourbon's characteristics, and it’s probably priced right around the max of what they want to spend. As a sipper, no matter what experience you may have drinking whiskey straight, anyone can enjoy drinking this one. The quality and flavor of Buffalo Trace is always far better than you’d expect from a $25 bottle of bourbon.

Amazing Company

I was skeptical ordering online. I took the chance and now this will be my Go-To place to shop. This is 100% Legitimate. I purchased 2- 1 Liter bottles. They came as stated on receipt and in a timely manner. What impressed us was the packaging. For two glass Bottles to be in one box and not get damaged was remarkable. I even took photos to show my husband, brother and son. I have been telling all my Bourbon Friends about this Company. Liquor Mates is top rated by us. I will be purchasing more for sure.

An Excellent Entry-Level Bourbon

This is a popular bourbon. One sip reveals the reason. It's easy to drink with minimal alcohol bite. It starts sweet, almost candy-like, and then it develops into brown sugar, caramel, toffee, and oak. The finish is medium with spices of cinnamon and peppermint (lovely). It's reasonably rich and complex and has a fine texture. My only issue is that the initial sweetness feels a bit sugary, which diminishes quickly as it develops. I'm not sure I like that. That being said, I applause Buffalo Trace for keeping it a value play all these years. To me, the king of entry-level bourbon is still Wild Turkey 101. This Buffalo Trace is good, but not good enough to dethrone the WT.

An Outstanding One

Definitely deserved 5 stars. especially in light of its worth. Just a fantastic bourbon for sipping. unexpected richness of taste without any one flavor taking over. Your brain and taste buds will implore you to take another sip when the beverage has finished. I deliberately tried a lot of other bourbons in an effort to discover one that I would prefer. There have been a couple that came close, but only due to one or two particular flavor combinations that I found intriguing. But I haven't discovered anything that tops that for a bourbon that is well-balanced.

Buffalo Trace the Yellowstone Favorite

My best friend referred me to the Buffalo Trace distillery, and I found PB express as a great way to purchase since it is hard to find in Knoxville. I purchased the bourbon and bourbon cream liqueur as my holiday gift this year. so I have sampled my new stock and am excited about the brand. The flavor is distinct and smooth. the cream liqueur is the best cream liqueur I have ever sipped. It puts baileys to shame. Highly recommend both straight up or on the rocks, the cream liqueur is excellent in coffee and as an add into eggnog. I enjoy Buffalo Trace as my prime ingredient in my Old Fashioned. Thank you for this excellent imbibement.

QUESTIONABLE second bottle ordered!

Yes I did receive my order, though $37 shipping for the bourbon I originally ordered AND the “ghost” bottle, and still did not arrive until after Christmas. My credit card statement showed TWO charges for the same day, December 14th. I did contact Wooden Cork and my concern was reviewed and courteously handled by the rep. She also sent me a copy of the 2nd invoice, that I had never seen. I was offered and accepted half-off the shipping of the 2nd bottle I allegedly ordered.So, I DO have 2 bottles of BT bourbon for $174.00 ( and then minus $20 off the shipping of bottle #2). Normally about $70.I reiterate that I was billed for 2 bottles and still believe I ordered ONE. Quality has gone down big-time. Over hyped!

I truly thought I liked Buffalo trace. Honestly I think it used to be a more aged product. Like at least 4-6 years. Now it tastes super young and ethonoly and watered down. I feel like with it being so hyped, they are cranking it out too fast now. It's overated. Wild Turkey 101 has way better flavor and character. BT is too simple and watery now. Also another new favorite super value is Evan Williams bottled and bonded ( white label ). Way better than Buffalo Trace.

Wasn't A Whiskey Drinker Until Now

I was introduced to Buffalo Trace while visiting my brother in Tennessee. On the way home to Ohio, a friend asked me if I could find a certain brand of Whiskey. We stopped at Indian Hills Wine & Spirits in Pikeville, Ky. The fine gentlement working there introduced me to Buffalo Trace. They hyped it up so much I bought two bottles to take home. Recently, I was at a local bar and orderd a Jack and Ginger Ale since we do not have Buffalo Trace here in northern Ohio. WOW! I can't believe the difference Buffalo Trace makes when compared to Jack Daniels (Old #7). I had a 1.5 litre bottle of Jack Daniels that I've had since by son and daughter-in-laws wedding three years ago. I just gave it back to them! I ordered a case of BT from here at Caskers. Shipping was slow but everything arrived in-tact. Glad I found an online liquour store to purchase Buffalo Trace! The price here is better than it was at the liqour store in Kentucky as well. I'll be back! :-)

With BTB, You Can't Go Wrong

Buffalo Trace is a fantastic, flavorful bourbon all around. It surpasses the crude, immature flavors of Maker and Bulleit for me and is the ideal affordable bourbon. Do not misunderstand; Maker's and Bulleit are OK. Bulleits, though, has what I refer to as a "fake bourbon taste"—you can tell it's alcoholic and that it's whiskey, but other than that, there's nothing unique about it. Additionally, Maker's offers a comparable flavor in a more attractive packaging. BT tastes exactly like bourbon should, and the pricing is reasonable. It is unbeatable. It's one of the obvious options for a nice bourbon, but if you don't keep an eye on yourself, it can go down quickly.
