I bought this part because I washed the original that came with the bassinet in the washing machine, but not itself, I also put a bag in the machine with a patent that I did not zip, and which stuck to the fabric in the wash and evaporated. That was entirely my fault. The material is otherwise very high quality and you can wash it in the machine, but alone (hand wash option), and most importantly the material don't loses color in the sun. I recommend this product
