Bumble and Bumble BB Pret A Powder, 56 G

I almost always buy travel or mini sizes of new products just in case I don’t like them. #Ulta was offering a free deluxe Bumble Bumble bonding treatment with the purchase of a $35 dollar BB purchase, so this was my chance to try a couple different products. My hair type (fine, straight hair) gets weighed down easily and I have yet to find a dry shampoo that didn’t make my hair look clean.. Until I tried this product, that is. I’ve found a Holy Grail hair product and I couldn’t be happier! I love that’s it’s a powder instead of an aerosol spray. I have more control over the amount of product I use and where I put it in my hair. The powder itself is very fine and has a super soft consistency, which I believe contributes to its lightweight effect on my hair. A little bit goes a long way with the Pret-A-Powder, so this small bottle will last a long time. Not only did this product make my hair LOOK like I just washed and dried it, it FELT like I’d just washed/dried it too! It also added volume without that weird, gunky feeling on my scalp. It’s been 10 hours and still feels nice and clean and has volume to it! Bumble Bumble’s Pret-A-Powder doesn’t have a strong fragrance to it like other dry shampoos—come to think of it, I don’t recall smelling anything at all when I used it this morning, which I prefer. I even used it on my daughter’s hair (it’s just like mine, only red) and she likes it too. Her hair color and consistency causes dry shampoo to show, and makes hers look dirtier than before application. Not with this product!!! Her hair looked fantastic walking into school this morning! I’ll be grabbing the full size bottle and putting this one up for when we travel. I’m SO glad I tried this—I’ll be a lifelong BB Pret-A-Powder user!

I enjoyed this powder for keeping my roots clean between washes, as well as giving my thin but abundant hair some needed volume. I previously would use two products to do those two roles, but now I just use this one! I simply shake it onto the roots of dry hair (whether clean or a day or two after), which sops up oil, and gives my roots grit which helps volume. Because it makes my hair look much nicer, I don't mind that it leaves the slightest hint of a residue. I need all the volume I can get! For whatever reason, the fragrance is neither pleasing nor displeasing...I cannot pinpoint my thoughts on it. It seems a vague light floral fragrance. Either way, it works well, and I'll likely purchase it again!

I have purchased this product twice already, so it’s been good. However, I started to notice that it sets weird if you use it on not freshly clean hair. I use it on clean and dry hair and pass my blow dryer with a round brush through it. If I do this, it’s amazing! It adds volume without making my hair hard. If I use this on day two, it feels almost pasty on my hair and seems to also accumulate on my scalp to the point of having to clarify my hair on the next wash day. It does last a very long time though so that is a plus, especially when price is taken into consideration.

Amazing. Worth the money

Love this product. May seem expensive but one bottle lasts me 6 months -1 year so actually cheaper than continuously buying spray dry shampoo. Also does actually give volume and texture to your hair (I have very fine hair) and improves appearance without feeling gritty or heavy. Makes that last day before hair wash day actually probably the best hair day rather than worst, but i use it almost every morning to give texture and take away any oiliness. Definitely a product I personally will buy over and over again.

Another BB Product I Don't Want To Live Without!

So last year I was doing a lot of research and looking to change my hair care routine, & I eventually wound up moving to 100% BB products. I discovered Pret-a-Powder after seeing it discussed in several YouTube videos, including one in particular who showed how she used a tiny bit of Pret-a-Powder in her bangs to make them volume up and act right, which is a problem I've always had too. If I'm leaving the house (and especially on windy days) I'll usually spritz with a little BB Does It All too just to keep my hair from going all haywire outdoors. My basic routine is the Thickening shampoo and conditioner, BB Prep primer + Don't Blow It (Fine) 3-4x week at night, then I twist my hair up into a bun on top of my head and secure with cloth bands & a scrunchie, then go about my business or go to sleep. Then the next day, I take my hair down, fix it/fluff it a bit with my fingers (usually don't use a brush), then I'm good to go. As a last step I normally put a little Pret-a-Powder on my fingers and work it thru my bangs, and I'm all set!As a bonus, this stuff has a pleasant, very light scent to it too, and it doesn't leave you feeling like you've got gunk in your hair. The bottle will last you forever too!

Best dry shampoo hands down

I *love* this stuff. I got a travel sized bottle years ago in a set and wasn't expecting much, but this exceeded my expectations wildly. I've bought it several times since. I've tried other brands in-between hoping to save a bit as this is pricey, but nothing has come close. I can justify the price tag as I don't use it often, so a bottle lasts a long time. The smell is lovely and isn't overpowering. It feels lightweight and you have to be very heavy handed to leave a white cast in the hair (I've mid-dark brown hair). I do get annoyed sometimes when the applicator hole, which is pinhead small, gets clogged mid-application, but putting the cap on and giving the bottle a solid tap on a table solves that instantly so it isn't a deal-breaker. I buy it every 6 months & is worth it

I use dry shampoo all the time. I have really fine and thin hair so it gets greasy-looking fast, plus it doesn’t have much volume to it. I would use Batiste dry shampoo all the time - which is a great product, don’t get me wrong! But I could go through like… 15 cans of that before going through a bottle of this stuff. I probably buy it every six months and it is so worth it even though it seems like an insane amount to pay for dry shampoo. Even this mini size is great and lasts a long time if you’re looking just to try. I used to use such a tiny amount because the packaging is just a bottle with the small hole at the top so it didn’t seem like you have much control over the amount - but it will NOT dump out. Just gently squeeze the bottle and a bit will shake out.If you have really dark hair, this definitely will give a bit of a white cast unless you use it very sparingly or the night before.

This is one of my holy grail products...but I kind of understand why it has mixed reviews. I feel like this product isn't for everyone, especially every hair type. It's a bit of a weird product. Its main benefits are volume/adding texture to fine hair. I imagine anyone with really thick hair would find it a bit "heavy". It does work fairly well as a dry shampoo, but personally, i prefer using it on clean hair to prevent grease and prolong style rather than using it on really greasy hair. It's not as easy to use as an aerosol or even as effective as some other dry shampoos I've used, so if you're not interested in the volumizing/texturizing I wouldn't recommend it. On the flip side, if you have fine hair (especially shorter/layered hair) give this a try. I love this stuff so, so much. I have fine, limp, painfully straight hair. It takes so much hairspray to hold even a wave. My scalp looks greasy and my hair becomes stringy if I go more than 24 hours without washing. I've gone through bottles of this stuff, as I've been buying this for several years now. Ive tried many brands of dry shampoos but stopped at this one (unusual for me as I have very little product loyalty and love trying new things). After a few applications, there will be buildup that can be bothersome. For myself, I use this to go about 2-3 days; but people who go longer without washing might be bothered by this.
