Burberry EDP 100ml Gift Set

I received this Burberry product for free from Influenster and Coty in exchange for my honest review. The design of the bottle is stylish and elegant. I dig its angular shape and glass color. Also, I find it a fun and practical idea to make a magnetic cap with embossed monogram on it. Very cool. I found the fragrance itself somewhat predictable but I think it’s quite well rounded. The cedar notes are prominent. Strong woody vibe. Sweeter than the original Burberry Hero. I was not too impressed with the performance of this perfume but I think it’s decent for fall/winter and I will definitely keep using it this season. My wife likes it a lot on me. She thinks it’s rich, masculine, sweet (but not cloying sweet) and very sensual.

The fragrance features a trio of warm cedarwood oils as its signature base, culminating in a fresh and luminous crescendo. The vibrant opening of pine needle blends with benzoin and incense, creating an intense fusion of profound sensuality. KEY NOTES: Pine Needle, Benzoin, Cedarwood Trio This smells so much like my husbands old spice soap I thought he overdid it in the shower. Had him spritz more on a couple hours later and nope, they smell very similar. Good scent, but was confusing... smells clean to me but no vavoom. Could be someone else's vavoom, I just associate it with soap.

Burberry has released some great classics but Hero is the first offering in a while that has me looking at the company again. Unlike the Eau de Toilette concentration (which has a woodsy, yet fresh take), this Eau de Parfum flanker has more of a sweeter vibe to it. You still get that unmistakable wood dna (fir/cedar?) - just be careful to not overspray as it can be a bit cloying. Great for fall and winter events, and in the sea of usual suspects (looking at you Chanel, Dior, Prada), you’ll find Hero EDP will get people wondering just what you have on (in a good way!). Definitely not for warmer weather, but for those wanting a sweet yet masculine scent, this may be a winner for you!

Hero is the new perfume by Burberry for men. It was released in 2021. The primary scents are wood spice; however, there are hints of black pepper, juniper, and cedar. This perfume has a nice blended scent, with the cedar lasting the longest. It is not overpowering. Longevity is good, with the scent lasting about four hours. Some reviewers say it can be used as unisex; however, I think it favors a masculine scent (woods, outdoors, etc.). A good “Date Night” fragrance.

Thanks to Influenster and Burberry for giving me this sample to try. I will be honest and say I was expecting more from this brand, something unique. Don’t get me wrong, it smells great. It’s a very warm spicy woody scent. Performance was easily 6hrs on my skin but it doesn’t have that wow for me. It’s decent but it didn’t blew me away as I was expecting. This is a cologne you would want to buy at a discount price. Don’t be fooled. Even though the base notes have 3 types of cedar, this isn’t as strong of a woody scent as you would think which is good in my opinion. It’s smoky but not overpowering. Dry down is Amber, and sweet. Nice fall/winter cologne. It’s all I can say on this.

I absolutely adore the amber and woody scent in the hero edp. I find that theres a prominent cedar smell, which is fantastic because cedar smell so good. Its a well rounded fragrance, but I only use it during fall and winter due to its sweetness. The downside is that it may be overly sweet to some and not necessilary what I would consider a safe and mass appealing fragrance. Overall, this is a good fragrance, but do not blind buy.

I was sent this fragrance as a sample to test, oh my goodness it smells delicious. I received it and was excited to give it to my hubby to wear, but I enjoy the scent for myself as well. I’m no pro-fragrance describer but it is delicious! Subtle floral-citrus scent that’s woody and masculine, yet feminine…dare I say sensual? Bergamot, black pepper and cedar are the fragrance notes and wow is it ever an epic combination. Such a sexy scent, I will be purchasing the full size for my hubby to wear for me more often!

I received a sample vial from Influenster for testing/review purposes, all opinions are my own. Being unable to pick out the exact notes, I felt this fragrance started off a little powdery before settling into a woodsy tone. It didn’t lean toward pine woodsy or musky. I felt it to be long lasting when sampling on my skin on a napkin. It’s a little strong for my personal liking. and probably not something I would purchase for my husband or sons. I’d say if this scent peaks your interest, and fits into your budget, give it a sample in store.
