Burt's Bees Guava Lip Shimmer

Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer has that same tingling sensation you remember from their original lip balm. The fig color odd an absolute dupe for Clinique Black Honey. If you want to see I am pointing to the Burt’s Bees Lip shimmer in the attached image on the other side I am wearing Black honey. Appears almost identical if you ask me, only difference is there is a little shimmer that does appear with the Burt’s Bees but not a ton. As for a wear test this is where it looses a star. Similar to any lip balm this has to be reapplied a lot throughout the day. By the second hour I could tell there had been a color on my lips but the Brody t had worn off. Supper common for lip balm just wish the pigment would have lasted at least two hours. 

Love the slim packaging. Hate the product. I love the idea of tint, but every other product of Burt’s bees that you try has a different consistency and I don’t like that it’s a gamble. This is an in between super slick and melty VS super hard beeswax. This one smells and gives off flavor because it’s on your lips of pure wax like a crayon. The color can be a little overwhelming and look fake like you stole a child’s play lipstick. The lip balm just is super slick and runny that it feels like it’s a melting mess on your lips and then there’s to much. Overall, this didn’t sit right with me with application, flavor, look, and cost! Mine has been breaking in chunks since and looks very melted now. I wouldn’t recommend getting one.

The Burt's Bees lip shimmers are so beautiful. They are so light and creamy. It's not sticky. They come in a slim, lip balm style package. They are hydrating, and you get just the right amount of color with a little bit of shimmer. There are so many shades to choose from, and they are all so beautiful. I originally grabbed the watermelon shade but ended up going back and getting the peony and caramel shades as well. Peony is what I'm wearing in the picture, which is a "my lips but better shade." She stays in my purse. Caramel is a bit darker and is my favorite of the three. They have a nice refreshing peppermint smell. They are also 100% natural and made with beeswax and sunflower oil. Beautiful shade

I got this wonderful lip shimmer at target, thanks to Influenster that provided a gift card. It was very easy to redeem it. I just picked up the product and I paid at the counter showing the barcode of the gift card provided by Influenster..At first I thought that the product was really really small like even smaller than a chopstick and thin like a pencil but then, I pull out the whole thing out, and I noticed that It has a good amount of product that can last for months and probably a year maybe.The color I chose it’s called Peony and it’s so beautiful. I’m really happy with my choice.. It’s like a light pink and it’s very shimmery. Best low-key lip product!

I love this lip balm and have used it for years! Gives your lips a pop of color and shine without worrying about bleeding (like with lipstick) or being sticky (like with gloss). Is hydrating and the minty flavor feels fresh. Doesn’t last an incredibly long time though so keep that in mind and reapply as necessary. (I honestly don’t feel like lip balms ever last long, though, regardless of quality, so I’m still giving 5 stars.) For pale girlies, watermelon is THE best shade!! Fig is super pigmented, like a berry color. And the light pink shade gives you a shimmery bubblegum pout. All in all I would recommend for anything from a date night to office wear since it’s so casual but still pretty!

I am a former user of cocoa, which was discontinued. I decided to branch out, so I tried fig and cherry. Love them both and will continue to purchase, but fig is my favorite! It looks kind of fuchsia in the image but it’s more of a warm mauve, kind of tawny, with a very subtle coppery sheen. It’s my current favorite MLBB color and is flattering on every skin tone I have tested it on (I have had several friends test this theory with me). I can apply at work without a mirror and it really doesn’t look like I’m wearing anything. Instead my lips just look a healthier color with more defined edges, as they are fading in color with age. Great lip balm/tint alternative in your purse

Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer is a great lip product to have for quick, effortless touchups. It’s similar to a lip tint balm but with added shimmer. Packaging is pretty basic and this product can be found in most drugstores or major retailers like Target. Price is pretty affordable for $6.50. However, I do wish there were more color options.I got the lip shimmer in the shade Fig as I tend to like more darker, neutral shades. The shade is closer to a pinkish/brown purple.The application is pretty simple, just like a lip balm. Upon applying the lip shimmer, I was a bit surprised by the peppermint oil added. It gives a fresh tingle to the lips. I love how smooth and hydrating the shimmer is.

Improved formulation, but should be improved MORE

I really like the plum color, but I definitely do NOT like a few things: 1) the peppermint oil (please remove this); 2) the toxic seed oils (canola oil, soybean oil) which I'm trying to avoid because studies have shown them to be toxic (to learn more, search online for the article "How Industrial Seed Oils Are Making Us Sick by Chris Kresser"; it has 47 references, and it's fact-checked); 3) it's not GMO-free; and 4) the list of ingredients on the BB website is not accurate (I compared it to actual product label and they're different). Nice tinted lip balm, not my favorite.

I received this product for free from Burt’s Bees and Influenster in exchange for my honest review.I love a good lippie. Going into fall I am looking for good transitional shades and formulas. I was able to choose the shade and went with Fig. It is a nice fig red with a gold shaded shimmer. I love how it feels and looks initially. However, sometimes as it’s wearing off it gets super gold. It may be that I layered it thick and it just wears off. It has a light mint from the peppermint oil and similar fragrance. I light the skinny long tube for easy reapplication. I will use it up but would try a different shade next time.
