The Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm with vitamin E and peppermint is the best lip balm around. Whilst you might find that it doesn't last very long and that it's more expensive than other lip balms, this one really is the best lip balm to go for. I have sensitive skin and lips and suffered from eczema. My lips are always dry and I was looking for a not so sticky lip balm (a sticky one would be vaseline) which was effective and didn't make me itch. This lip balm did all that. This lip balm contains a great combination of ingredients which work to sooth, heal and moisturise your lips. The cera alba (beeswax) in this balm is used to create a protective layer on your lips to protect it from environmental effects. This ingredient will also lock any moisture in the keep your lips moisturised. The vitamin E will reduce any UV damage which is on your lips and continue to nourish your lips further. The peppermint will sooth and cool the skin, reducing irritation, itching and increasing softness. If you were to badly react to this lip balm it may due to one or two of the ingredients. These are the lanolin and/or the limonene. Lanolin is known to at times irritate sensitive skin and causing allergic reactions and the limonene's antioxidant ingredients can oxidised and sensitize your skin. Overall I really recommend this lip balm!

We live in Upstate NY, and our brutal winters really kill the lips. This is a MUST before any outdoor play! As far as healing chapped lips, this isn't my favorite. (I will lean more towards something medicated). However, if you use this regularly, you will stay smooth, hydrated and crack free. We love Burt's Bees for the natural and safe ingredients, great peppermint sensation and scent, and it's amazing hydrating elements.

I have a bad habit of biting my lips when I’m anxious or overwhelmed (most of the time) I chew then until the bleed and then I pick at them after. I use all sorts of lip care to help heal them and soften my lips so that it can help to prevent me making things worse. When I bought Burt’s Bees Vanilla lip balm I likes the look of the little tube and when I opened it the smell wasn’t overpowering or overwhelming, it was subtle. The texture goes on smoothly and I found after using it multiple times for 3 days my lips started to soften and heal. I still chewed and picked but there was less hard skin to chew at which has achieved what I wanted.

I hoard lip balms like they’re going out of style and this is my all time favorite! I love all of the Burt’s Bees lip balms, but this one has the best scent. It has almost a milky vanilla scent, which is to die for. It’s not greasy at all and it leaves my lips feeling hydrated and SMOOTH. I cannot recommend this product enough. If you haven’t tried it, DO! And if vanilla isn’t your thing, there’s so many other good scents that you really can’t go wrong.

Okay, so first off I have been using Burt's bees for quite a long time. Think back to the days that no one knew who this company was. One of my favorite products by them is actually their chapsticks. They're nice and greasy and last for quite a long time. They have some pretty nice varieties now like my favorite vanilla bean. I think probably the only downfall would be the price point as it can be a little pricey.

I definitely like this better than ChapStick, ChapStick seems to only dry my lips out more and this didn't do that. It feels good on the lips, the vanilla bean smells very nice if the smell of lip balm matters to you any. It's packaging makes it very easy to pack in a purse or backpack or whatever your bag of choice may be for your daily endeavors. I found that this prevented my lips from chapping, even in the most hot and humid months or coldest months. This isn't my favorite lip balm out there, but it definitely gets the job done and it 100% has ingredients I can feel good about.

Absolute best lip balm ever

I asked my mom to get me any chapstick from the store when she was buying groceries, and she brought me home this one. I loved it so much and I always have some on me, it is the best chapstick ever! It’s so perfect. It has an amazing smell, it goes on so smoothly and beautifully, and it makes my lips so so so soft. It also doesn’t wear out very fast. If you’re reading reviews to decide if you should buy it, you absolutely should, right now.

Absolutely amazing for cracked or “split” lips.

As someone who gets a severely split or cracked lip whenever the weather changes mildly cold, finding something to work is near impossible. And when I say a “split” or “cracked” lip, believe me when I say it is severe. (sparing the details). I have tried almost every lip balm on the market and nothing works. At all. Until I tried Burt’s. I kid you not, within 2-3 days, my lip was almost fully healed. I had been using a different lip balm for weeks and nothing. 2-3 days with this Burt’s Bees and I’m amazed. The only other product I ever tried that worked was a Swedish one, Lypstl, or something like that. Truth is, I tried Burt’s because it was a few cents cheaper and it turns out, very effective. But after a just a bit more consideration, I got over those insecurities, realizing that with all of the unknowns and uncontrollable pressures of the modern the world, it's these kinds of small, portable, healthy, economical, fun products that can/do make such a big difference in my everyday life, simply by boosting my mood and supporting my sense of wellbeing.So when the day came last week that I finally got to the bottom of that stick, I wasn't too concerned at first, since I knew I could just go to a local retailer to buy a new one that would give me the same results...or so I thought. I went as far as devising a plan to use a hair pin to scrape out the last bit of the balm around the base of the tube to use sparingly a few times a day while I looked for a store that carried the vanilla (none of Burt's other commonplace fruity varieties really appeal to me). So a couple of days ago when I found the vanilla variety, my first instinct was to buy 3-4 tubes in order to avoid these withdrawal symptoms in the future. But something told me to just buy one to try first, and then return to buy more if it lived up to my expectations based on the tube I'd just finished. And from the instant that I opened the new tube, it became obvious that something was different when that natural vanilla scent didn't immediately hit me like it would with the one I'd practically used up. I tried to dismiss that notion as being only in my mind and quickly applied the balm in hopes of still getting my fix, only for those hopes to be dashed by the lack-luster look & heavier feel of it on my lips.All of that aforementioned only raises the question for me- why do corporations mess with their top-notch products' formulas like this? And wouldn't smart business sense dictate that if they're going to change this lip balm's feel, then compensate for that by infusing it with a stronger vanilla aroma? I'd personally pay more money for the more potent vanilla smell and taste. I'm assuming that the answer lies in companies trying to cut costs without us customers noticing too much of a change in the quality, or at least not caring enough about the difference to negatively impact our buying habits. But for whatever it's worth to whomever at Burt's may or may not actually be taking consumers' feedback into consideration, I'm going on record here with this review to say that I'm disappointed enough in this lip balm's quality that I will not spend my money on again, and will share my opinion with others instead of recommending it like I used to...unless/until you either go back to using the original formula, OR develop a new formula that will still have the same potent vanilla smell with that silky, glossy feel. The fact that I'd leave such a detailed review should indicate that I do notice a drastic difference in one of your products for the worst, and that your bottom line is in jeopardy as a result. Seriously- I was excited about giving this lip balm to both the adults and children in my life in gift bags for special occasions, for holidays like Christmas as stocking stuffers, and Valentine's Day...but not now, given the faint aroma and pasty feel of this tube.As it stands with this current formula, there is no longer anything special or standout about this lip balm, which leads me to explore other companies' natural lip balms, and maybe even try to make my own using fresh vanilla beans. In spite of my possibly being just one customer giving negative feedback for this product, Marketing 101 validates me as representing a portion of your consumer base who feels the same.
