Burton Step On Snowboard Bindings Black

I got these bindings after avoiding for decades any step-in and quick in/out system for fear of how they'll work and what the reliability of them would be. 9 days on these and I am already regretting getting them. The "hammock" on the highback is held on with a flimsy rivet that after a few days on the mountain busted leaving it to flop around and fall out. I contacted Burton support assuming they'd fix it under warranty and the response was they've "seen an uptick in issues with the rivet in the highbacks" but said no replacements were available and recommended I just go to a shop to get it somehow re-riveted.I'm a fan of the form factor and the responsiveness of the binding, and loved them up until they broke. Now my biggest fear is setting in that I dropped cash on a product that won't hold up like my previous Ride bindings did (still going strong 13 years later). Makes me worried about the other wear parts on the binding like the actual latches in the heel/toe.Until they get a better form factor I'd avoid these and maybe even hold off on the Step Ons till Burton can get some more reliable products on the market.

They’re beyond impressive. Heard mixed reviews prior to purchase about boot fit and responsiveness. They’re more responsive than regular bindings. Obvi easy to click in n quick. I’ve used the, on approximately 10 trips so it’s a in depth review. Of he bindings and boots. Use DC boots for the comfort and stiffness. I used the DC step on boots and don’t regret the change. It’ll give you the best performance, comfort, and responsiveness with the step one. Makes me curious to see how the low backs compare to these already Impressive bindings. You’ll be down the mountain while others are still binding up.

Shame on Team Burton. I posted feedback on Burton’s website, where I provided my honest feedback (4 stars was given). Burton filters/controls everything, as such mine was not posted, even after I verified it via my email, as what they asked. I followed up and no answers. I seriously do not think I gave any bias/bad review about this, but very honest opinion. Seems like Burton chose to release the good ones and block out the ones involves the second thoughts. Really?!Here is what I remembered -“ I purchased the flex step on boots and binding, since I was due for a new pair of boots. Binding is super easy, just clip on and go, and I’ve never popped out once. However, it requires a solid surface to click the heel twice. Binding is super easy, just clip on and go, and I’ve never popped out once. However, it requires a solid surface to click the heel twice. On pow day, it is harder to make the 2nd heel click. Step on boots are surprisingly stiff and hurt my calf and pinky toes for the first 2 times. The Boa lace comes loss too easy and I have to tight the lace after every single run. For a longer run, I often have to stop at the half way to tight up the Boa.I used to have the traditional lace, and this is my first Boa, so not sure if this is the general issue across the board. I personally prefer to have a snug fit on boot.Binding is responsive and I have no problem on green and blue runs. But I found myself struggled making the quicker turns on steeper terrains, such as double blue and black. I once caught my heel edge when I was on my toe side and in the middle of transition to heel side. This has never happened to me before. For me, I have no problem bending down and strap in, and I stand up to do so. Since my body is learned the traditional strap in and muscle memory are used to it. I switched back to straps. I think this would be great for someone who is new, you can learn and grow on step on. Or someone who has issues bending and straps.”To add on, I noticed when I stepped on, and try to turn the board, the back of the binding comes up first (I have it forward lean setting at F4), then the board starts to twist. Maybe that’s the “delay”. Yes, I returned those, and went back to the traditional way. I prefer to have better control over convenience. Burton has great products, but surprised how much filter it involves.
