By far the best bibs ever. They fit so well if you have muscular thighs or a slightly curvy body. They have a little stretch- could be a little more in my opinion though. The fasteners and snaps and zippers give you so many escapes out of them, and it makes it easier to size them up to your body shape. There are so many zippered pockets! The pic doesn't do it justice. They're long for me and I wish they came in a short version in the white color, but the length is actually "well-hidden." Meaning it's not obvious based on the style and cut that you're a foot shorter than the model snowboarding woman apparently. I wish I bought these sooner

I'm in between a M (smaller waist) and a L (bigger/athletic hips and legs) with bottoms but I ordered the M. It fit, but felt a little tight on the legs, and I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to layer up on my bottom half for colder days. I returned this and bought a L but it was too huge (too big in the waist and little too roomy in the legs). Then I went with the 3L bib in M because I figured the extra layer of gore-Tex (the specs say there's an extra inner layer compared to the 2L) would compensate for the thinner base layers that I would have to wear to make the bottom half fit. For reference, I'm 5'5", 155lbs, 28" waist, 42" hips. For the inseam length, the short size would have worked fine but I did not mind the length of the regular size. I'm use to ... I'm use to having pants bunch a little at the bottom due to my height. Plus, these pants have a cinch on the back of the pant near the bottom of the calf so that you can adjust (excellent feature!)I gave 4 stars as the zippers in the thigh vents are not gore-Tex zippers. They do have a seam sealant but the zippers are regular... such a high price to pay to have snow get in.

Love these bibs! My 2nd pair of them. Comfy, drop seat, always keep me dry and warm. Light enough for touring too. Burton really should shorten their standard pants but at the end of the day, I'd rather too long than too short.5'7", 140lbs. I have one small and one medium .

The 3L is a little stretchy, which I feel is super comfortable for snowboarding. I love that they are just a shell. The bathroom zips are really easy to slide and don't become such a hassle when you have full gear on. The only weird thing is the strap adjuster in the back is limited on 1 side, but wasn't a huge deal for the length I needed.
I purchased the Burton AK 2L Kimmy bibs after having my first bebe. Unfortunately my other pants and bibs from other brands didn't accommodate my newly wider hips. After reading reviews and seeing other people commenting these were the only bibs that seemed to fit hips, knee braces, athletic or curvy builds, I decided to drop the money on a pair. I am 5'9 and 170 and purchased the size XL. According to the size chart the L would fit, but I wanted plenty of room for playing in the snow in addition to snowboarding. These bibs fully fit the bill. The XL is plenty roomy, but the material and cut is very flattering. Instead of looking too big or baggy, it has enough room for hips and then the legs just look like a nice relaxed fit pant. The hand of the fabric is everything you want in a shell. It is crisp but not stiff and it moves really well. They are pricey, but are fully worth it in my mind. I tend to be of the camp where I spend a bit more money once for the right piece and have it last for years instead of buying ok pieces you have to replace annually.
Can't comment on the quality of the item since I will be returning it but the sizing is very odd. I am 5'3" 120lbs and ordered a size small. The legs are WAAAYY long and the hips and thighs were very tight, definitely no room for under layers. If you are very tall and thin this may be for you but definitely not designed for short curvy girls.
I had an epiphany this summer: BIBS. Looking through REI's website, its very hard to find a women's snowboard/ski situation that fits an XL curvy body. But these came through in a real way. They fit like a glove, there is a kind of fleecy/soft lining, a front zip, two back-side zips, and crossed straps that allow the back to unzip so you can use the bathroom without completely disrobing. The amount of times I dropped all my things in the nasty melted snow/water on a resort bathroom floor has been thoroughly redeemed by this one design perk. There is an incredible amount of pockets, two deep chest pockets, two hip pockets, and so many leg/knee pockets I lost count. There is excellent ventilation options, snow protection at the bottom, and a wide enough leg to fit ... MoreI had an epiphany this summer: BIBS. I absolutely love this bib piece. The color is amazing and the fit is phenomenal! The inseam is long and I originally ordered a size small which ran a little too long especially for snowboarding but I ended up getting an extra small and the inseam is the perfect length. I have a 34" inseam for reference and am 5'8" I generally wear a base and mid layer which is perfect underneath this for warmth! I would highly reccomend purchasing this if you're considering buying a bib piece!
After trying on the Avalon short and loving the way it fit but not the 10k waterproofing (I wanted more), I thought I would be getting the same fit with the AK 2L GORE-TEX Kimmy Short Bib Pants with the emphasis on SHORT. It was still long (the in seam on this and the Avalon are the same, but really didnt wear like it) even with boots on and the bottom hem was extremely wide even with cinching it at the back of the ankles. For reference, my exact measurements are 5'2 and 3/4", 32-25-37. The fit around the mid back where the straps meet was also extremely wide, pretty much gaping. I had planned to wear this over my Rab Cirrus 2.0 jacket for spring snowboarding but the gap in the back really bothered me (not to mention if I fell, snow would definitely be going in ... I put on a thicker jacket and it looks better but still not what I had hoped. I returned this. What I did love: the goretex was not plasticky like other goretex I've tried (it was softer!), the articulated fit around the thighs & knees were awesome and still had more than enough room to move about while snowboarding, the adjustable straps had plenty of stretch (although I do question if, over time, the stretch would stop stretching and just be loose - would have liked it better if part of the straps were non stretchy) and could definitely accommodate a person who was taller than 5'6" as long as their in seam was about 30", lots of room for base layers and plenty of good sized zippered pockets in all the right places. If this had fit like the Avalon short, this would have been a keeper for sure.
I love these bibs. They are the most comfortable ski pants I have ever worn. So comfortable I don't want to take them off. I have a lot of ski pants, mostly bibs from all of the top outerwear companies but these are my favorite.I am actually a skier but have always liked the look and colors of Burton products so I decided to take the plunge and order the Women's Kimmy 2L Bib Pant and Embark Jacket and I was not disappointed. I was actually looking at the Kimmy 3L Bib Pant but thought the cost was a bit too much. I am glad I decided on the Kimmy 2L Bibs. The "Living Lining" in these pants actually provides a little bit of warmth which is great since I live in Ontario where the conditions can be quite cold. I am 5'11 175 and the XL fit perfectly. I can add a mid weight insulator pant on those really cold days and I still have lots of freedom of movement. I sometimes have trouble finding women's bibs that can accommodate my height as the suspenders are sometimes not long enough so I appreciate that Burton thought of us tall girls. I love the high bib which provides the most coverage i have seen in a bib pant. With a total of 6 pockets you will never want for more storage space. Great job Burton!!
