Generally well made and durable, solid fittings, survived the Simpson without trouble and stayed put during some brief excursions above the rated speed. Only minor point is that you should check the tightness of joints between segments at least daily, they tend to come loose. Easily fixed with some weak locktite or tape.

The poles and flag appear to be very solid & well made. It has yet to be subjected to corrugations but I believe it will survive well.However it uses white cable ties to prevent the flag from slipping up the pole (note it has a well sown pocket to hold around the pole). Are these cable ties UV resistant? I have in my mind that the black ties last longer.

You can't go wrong with Bushranger products. A quality sand flag that will take the punishment. My decision was made after seeing many excellent reviews amongst the 4WD community. I also use Bushranger's quality air compressors, which have never let me down.

I bought this based on the reviews below and I am very impressed. The sand flag is very easy to install and use, it comes with a carry sleeve which is convenient, and it can take a hell of a beating. From bashing around on sand dunes to copping repeated hits from large and low hanging tree branches (which I did just out of curiosity really) it stood up to everything we did and I was very happy with my purchase.
I rate the Bushranger products and after reading many reviews of sand flags, found this to be the winner for my cash $. Delivery was very quick, safely packaged in a large box, easy to install and looks very sturdy. About to travel from East to West coasts so looking forward to testing it out. This is not much more expensive than an eBay special and avoids the compressed air fitting common with the cheapies. I mounted it to the rack of my roof top tent with a Rhino antenna mount.As usual with Snowys delivery was super quick.
Did some googling and found that the only flag worth buying was this one (rather than all the other sub-$100 or sub-$50 flags that are spring mounted and can dent your roof or crack your windscreen!). Best price was from Snowy's, and overnight delivery to rural SA.Two slight improvements I could suggest:1 - use black UV stable cable ties instead of white to hold the flag.2 - I needed to buy 2x larger diameter washers (only 1 was supplied that was too small for my bullbar mount tab). I also cut a rubber bike tyre to stop the mount from scratching my bullbar tab. Friend who bought the same flag had to do the same.But overall very happy, high quality kit. Only has to save you once to be worth it.
Haven’t used it in anger yet. Fittings look to be strong enough and reading other reviews, I think I chose well … oh, carry bag is a nice touch !
Strong. Solid mounting system. Did the Madigan Line across the Simpson with it. No problem. Highly recommended.
Did 700km of remote desert travel with 0 head on crashes. Based on this extensive testing the sand flag is 100% effective.
