Byredo Black Saffron Eau De Parfum Spray 50ml

When I smell this, I quite literally stop and swoon; one of my all time favorite men's fragrances. Stylish and elegant, this grips me like a firm handshake. Starts citrusy (with a delectably bitter note) then mellows to a lingering spicy, herby, vetivery scent - with plenty of sex-appeal. Although this is pretty masculine, I love to borrow my husband's when I need a dose of power and confidence in the office. I actually think the price point is pretty reasonable when compared to the other men's fragrances I love like Creed's Green Irish Tweed and Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino.

I received a sample from Nordstrom on my last visit and was looking for something different from my normal floral or gourmand loves. I had heard of byredo but hadn't actually tried anything, I'm glad my introduction to the brand was so pleasant! I was worried seeing that this scent had leather notes in it as well, I hate the smell. I had tried the ombre leather from Tom Ford and had wanted to gag but was happily surprised that this was so much more then that. It doesn't smell like leather at all to me. It does have a certain amount of depth to it and it's so fun to explore said depth! This perfume is my favourite from this brand so far. It has the staying power one would expect at this price point. Punchy oud, seductive, dark. Definitely a power perfume that brings out your inner vixen at night! As I always say, try before you buy when spending this kind of money! This could be overpowering on some people. I personally absolutely love it.

Beautiful

I am on my 4th bottle of this. I love it, clearly. It's a beautiful warm woody smell, I get many compliments on it. I do sometimes consider trying another smell from Byredo as so many ofhtem smell great, but I always end up repurchasing this one. It's a classic, I hope they never stop making it. I would LOVE to have it in a smaller bottle though as although you can decant for holidays, this is a quality and thus heavy glass bottle.

Beautiful scent

I had a small sample but managed to get 3 days from it. I get citrus at opening but sweet creamy vanilla too and something a little musty but in a good way. Like old library books maybe. As it dries down the vanilla takes centre stage but stays fresh and light not cloying. The fragrance lasted Around 8hrs but it’s more a skin scent than a silage monster. If it wasn’t so expensive I would buy it but too expensive for what it is imo.

Fantastic, amazing aroma

I tried this product recently, for the first time and the scent is fantastic. It lasts amazingly well. I will definitely be a repeat customer.This is a dusky style scent that willdefinitely impress and as a unisex product is suitable for all.It’s a product that will endure and with only a small amount required, a bottle will last for a while. A must have!

I love this

I recently received a sample of this and I loved it. I know the notes say it is a man’s fragrance but I disagree and I think it is like the majority of Byredo scents and is suitable for either sex. It’s a citrusy, fresh fragrance that smells really clean and nice. It lasted quite well (although not as well as some of the heavier Byredo perfumes) and made you feel really fresh. An ideal summer fragrance for men and women. I would like to see more Space NK stores having samples available on Byredo - it’s an expensive mistake if you can’t try it first.

Intense

I have tried several of the Byredo perfumes and they are all unique and smell so delicious. I received a small bottle of Black Saffron as a present and this is another unique smell. It smells luxurious and transports you to foreign warm climates. The scent is heady but not over powering at all. It’s complex (as I find most of the Byredo perfumes are), slightly floral but amber notes as well. It really is lovely and people always ask what you are wearing.

Sensational

One of my husband's all-time favorite perfumes is BYREDO's Oud Immortel Eau de Parfum. For his birthday, I surprised him with a fresh bottle, and it did not disappoint. The fragrance is a perfect blend of traditional Middle Eastern scents and modern sophistication.
