With all the new Cadbury products lining the shelves at Poundland recently, I was surprised to find another one nestled in with the chocolate bars. This is Dairy Milk Silk, which is like Dairy Milk but smoother apparently. Upon further research I discovered that this isn't a new UK product, but in fact an established brand in South Africa and India. Not that that's disappointing, it's nice to get some import stuff for a low price.Well, this is Dairy Milk, which is always a good start. Looking at the list of ingredients, they're identical to your classic Dairy Milk bar, so I guess it's a slight change in ratios or production that give this a smoothness, It may have just been my brain expecting a different taste, but this bar does seem to possess a different texture ... It is somewhat thinner and smoother in shape than the chunky UK bar, and it seems to melt in the mouth slightly faster. I also detected a bit more sweetness than I'm used to, despite the overall texture being smooth there was a hint of sugary grittiness, which isn't too bad, but it didn't sit well with me in comparison to the classic. This bar is an interesting one. What exactly makes it different from the UK Dairy Milk? The shape? The process? The South African milk? Or is it all in my mind? All I can say is that while it's still some very good chocolate, it doesn't quite match the original. It's worth trying out for yourselves though.

These are a childhood favorite. Love the rippled chocolate layers in flakes. These go so well with so many kinds of desserts. Top these on ice creams or cakes or just have them by themselves. Guilty pleasure.

these are as expensive as I go for chocolates in terms of taste. I have always enjoyed inexpensive chocolate over expensive ones. Perhaps my taste is not as advanced. But these have always been one of my favourite since a godfather of mine used to work for the factory. He’d always bring these home and the Cadbury eggs for Halloween and I grew up eating these. They’re your nostalgic taste of what chocolate is, they’re creamy, enough density to them as it melts, and they feed every craving with satisfaction every.single.time!

Purchased a pack of 12 minis today. So disappointed. They're sweeter, not as chocolatey and they don't Flake like they used to. Terrible. Another product that Cadbury have buggered just like Red Tulip chocolate Easter Eggs. Cadbury is a premium, high quality brand of chocolate. They do have chocolate with add ins like fruit or nuts, but I prefer the pure chocolate. This is a rich, creamy, absolutely perfect chocolate. If you want to make hot cocoa with milk and a chocolate bar, Cadbury is one of the best brands to do it with.
As chocolate, it was really good tasting. The texture was not as pleasant. Couldn't get it out of the pkg without it breaking into a million pcs.I also ordered golden syrup which leaked all over everything in the box. I had to throw away. What a mess. Please find a new way package it for mailing.
It is my family's absoluut favorite. We have been buying it for years and can never go without it. It is great flaked over ice cream or in a ice cream cone. I use it for my parfaits, jello & cream desserts and cakes. It is one of the greatest chocolate bars you can find. It is so smooth, and silky..... it melts on your tongue. We can never get enough of it. I have to hide the bars when I buy them. Nestle had perfected this heavenly cholate bar!!
I wish I would have ordered 500Of these . I eat a boost every day forBreakfast. Why not, I exercise I eat well and this is a treat. Chocolate is good for you, if this is part of your diet then just remove something . Enjoy your life and eat English dairy milk based candy. You aren’t going to take them with you. So live for now. I love them. From a Yorkshireman who misses his life with true English chocolate.
I come here for all my English chocolates! Repeat customer for years! Everything I get from here is always fresh! Packed wonderfully! Fast shipping! Customer Service is top notch!
Please continue to stock this product. A great chocolate snack, fun to eat and tasty. Brings back childhood memories. One of just a few sweets that fit into our diet. It would be a shame if these become a dis-continued item. (while we're on the subject, bring back Crunchie bars too!)
