Probably not a brand fault, but fir me personally call it hot chocolate is an insult. I'm used to thick and dense hot chocolate from another brand not present where i currently live. I heard good feedback on the cadbury hot chocolate so I gave it a shot. Not for me. It's the country standard hot chocolate, which is basically a watery (well recipe is actually with water 😵‍💫) chocolate. I didn't try with suggested recipe as a real hit chocolate need milk, who says otherwise doesn't know what is a real hot chocolate. Anyway, even with milk it never densed and basically I don't see difference from a normal powdered cocoa which as it can be mixed for a drink

I was taught that hot chocolate is made with melted chocolate and hot cocoa is made with powdered cocoa. To me, this product is cocoa, and it is delicious! It is rich and chocolaty without being too sweet. We couldn't find directions re: how much mix to use, so we experimented. We found 2 heaped Tablespoons per 1.25 Cups boiling water was a good start. The same ratio worked with low-fat milk, hot or cold. We also made some using boiling water, the cocoa mix, and 2 level Tablespoons of powdered coconut milk. Yummy! We made many mugs using a different added ingredient each time. Some of these were: cinnamon, Mexican vanilla, instant espresso powder, and Frangelico. We concluded: whether you drink it on it's own or dressed up, it is some of the smoothest and tastiest ... MoreI was taught that hot chocolate is made with melted chocolate and hot cocoa is made with powdered cocoa. Our other choice is by Jacques Torres-- which is a rich mix of both cocoa powder and cocoa nibs. Also, it is not sweet. You dress it to taste.

I have yet to find a hot chocolate powder that beats this one. Easy to make…I heat a mug of milk in the microwave and stir in 2-3 heaped spoons of chocolate powder. My daughter loves hers finished off with some squirty cream and a sprinkling of powder. It mixes well and doesn’t leave clumps, tastes great (if a little too sweet). Just the ticket when we come in from a cold, wet Scottish evening. Reasonably priced too and quite often on offer in the shops so even better!

You just cannot beet this brand of hot chocolate!! What I love is its so much richer and creamier than the ones that use boiling water. I make mine with a full cup of warm milk, then add a heaped table spoon of powder and stir. It's incredible, sweet, smooth and chocolatey, lovely with mini marshmallows for the kids and even better topped with whipped creme for a real treat! I'd never use any other brand 😀 EVER!

Best hot chocolates
10 March 2022

My sons drink of choice is a hot chocolate every morning when he wakes up. My daughter has it as a treat with squirty cream and marshmallows . I have it to turn my cappuccino into a mocha occasionally. In all three scenarios we only ever use real milk and we absolutely love this hot chocolate and Ive been buying it for years. Tried a few other brands here and there all the way, but nothing compares to the rich deep flavour so we always come back to this one.

Excellent value . Classic drinking choc

Excellent value for a classic drinking chocolate that's suitable for vegans (no powered milk in this)Rich, thick and creamy, it's a must in my household, all year round, or with vegan whipped cream and marshmallows for the wintery nights.I highly recommend it and will always use it

Rich & creamy
24 January 2022

This is creamy chocolatey goodness just right when u fancy a chocolate hit. I use a little less powder than the instructions as i find it a bit sweet and i use half milk and half water to make it less heavy so that i can add extras like cream and grated chocolate and feel less guilt! This also doesnt feel grainy unlike other products i have tried. Really warming on a cold day. Would recommend buying the larger tub for better value. This was reviewed as part of free sample.
