I was a bit skeptical when I was considering buying this game. Being a huge fan of the COD franchise, I've been duped by some of their lesser quality games in the past with most of them being fantastic. I'm glad to say this installment was incredible. You can tell the story within the campaign was well thought out, developed, and executed on. The campaign is also a very nice Segway into playing multiplayer with a wide variety of game modes. The maps are all fun, leveling up your profile and weapons is always a blast, and needless to say there's a magnitude of incredible players out there who dominate at this game, but it's still fun and rewarding playing, getting better, and leveling up faster.

This game worked fine for a few days and then after that it all went to hell. First it kept saying my ping was ridiculously high, 57-72ms, when previously I was getting 15ms. I resest my router and tested the wifi signal strength on multiple different devices and I was getting excellent bandwidth speed, but the game was saying that I had bad signal. I even connected my console to an ethernet line to ensure signal issues and still it kept saying high ping. I gave up online mutliplayer and tried to play campaign again and now the game doesnt even work, as soon as I load the game the whole screen goes black to where its barely visible, but the audio remains. I’ll focus on mutliplayer since most people will be buying the game for that purpose… honestly, I absolutely DESPISE Activision for even patenting an algorithm that is Skill Based Match Making. It was present in the 2019 MW but it’s even worse in the 2022 MW2. If you have ANY skill at all in shooting game, the system outright PUNISHES you for performing well. Say you end a game with a k/d record of 20-10. Well, your next get harder and you’ll probably end at 20-15. The more you continue to do even decent, the more aggressive the algorithm gets. Eventually you’ll be thrown into lobbies with kids that haven’t showering since the game launched and they’re easily 2-4x your rank. You’ll spawn and die NUMEROUS times. You can’t even look around a corner because some kid is already scoping that corner with a meta weapon that you have absolutely no chance against. And before you know it, you’re sitting at k/d record of 4-15 and you’ll most likely quit and throw your controller at something. THAT is MW2 in a nutshell…. Have fun!!
