I'm not a great golfer by any means. I play maybe a dozen times a year. These clubs have been a great addition. I love both hybrids and the irons. I wasn't a real fan of the driver or 3 wood. I have a TaylorMade driver and woods I use so no big deal. I tried both the Strata ones and they just weren't for me. The quality and balance of the rest of the clubs are great for the money. I didn't want to break the bank. I had sold my old TaylorMade Burnner set prior to the pandemic, and thought I'd get a newer set but due to the pandemic never pulled the trigger until recently. The reviews here are what made me try these and I am very satisfied!

Two club heads broke off in less than eight swings. I bought these at golf galaxy in downers Grove on 22nd St. I actually have a video of one of the club heads coming off. These clubs were a gift to my son for his 21st birthday. Everyone was surprised because they thought the Callaway was high-quality. The strata clubs definitely were not. I also had to drive down to the Orleans store to get them. Are the store manager I almost made it seem like it was our fault or that this sort of thing happens all the time with This brand. It was a total deflection. Oh I mean social media at some point I’m going to put this video out there. The manager seemed like a total incompetent. I just started playing golf and I would recommend these clubs. They are strong and durable as I have hit the ground too hard and there has been no damage. Yardage is great as I get the expected yardage for a beginner. Also, a friend of mine who has fitted Ping irons tried mine. His shot was straighter using these clubs as expected, since they are more forgiving. Distance wise, he was 15-20 yards shorter using mine; he has been playing for 7 years. These clubs give u the confidence to go play with ur friends who have been playing for a long time. My only complaint is the grips are too small/thin, I felt I had to hold on for dear life. This was corrected when I had them regripped with medium grips with a +2 on the tape. The set has everything you need to get started. I find the irons feel firm but they did come fresh out of the box with a few dings and dents. The driver feels too light and too flexible which lends me to hitting the ball in unusual directions. Honestly I sliced 9/10 times before the set and maybe 1/2 goes left the other right. The bag is nice and over all it’s a good starter. I wish it came with 4 and 5 irons instead of hybrid but that’s just me.
I bought this after doing some extensive research. Strata gets a lot of bad reviews because people are lead to believe they are Calaway's but they are only distributed by them. Could use a lob wedge as it only had a PW and SW but can buy that separately. Putter was the only club that I thought was undesirable but can pick up a putter more to my suiting separately as well. The bag is no-frills but does the job for now, not sure how much of a beating it will take but that will take time to determine.
My husband recently got into golf, but was always borrowing a family members set. I did a lot of research before surprising him with this set. He really loves it! Unfortunately, after playing only 4 rounds the driver cracked along the bottom seam. I knew other reviews had issues with their drivers so I always knew it was a risk, rest assured though because Callaway makes Strata and they have a great warranty. Technically we could have returned the whole set to Dicks because it hadn’t been 90 days yet, but we only need a driver replacement. We called them right up and they’re sending out a new driver this week, so we should have that next week! Great customer service, quick and painless. Highly recommend even if the driver can be finicky.
I'd say I'm still an experienced beginner with Golf. My swing is finally more consistent to enjoy the game. These clubs have been great, get the job done. I agree with one of the other reviewers, I feel the driver does feel light, I consistently get out driven and I miss having the 3-4 iron option. Price has doubled since I bought mine, which I find very surprising. Otherwise great set!
Been borrowing my brothers clubs for a while now decided to finally buy my own set but didn’t want to break the bank. Overall a great set but when it comes to golf you get what you pay for. Used these clubs a total of 6 times before my driver club head snapped off at the range. Pretty bummed after only having the set for a month but contacted customer service and they sent another one out immediately so very pleased with the customer service. Would still recommend the clubs for anyone starting out but I’m already looking to upgrade.
I tried for years to play this game! This year I got serious. I took some lessons and bought these clubs! They are awesome! As my game is improving, I am hitting better and better. I bought the 16 piece set and bought a jaws 52 degree wedge after playing a few rounds. I needed a club between the pitching wedge and sand wedge. For a modest investment and couple lessons, I am playing the best golf of my life! Thanks, Callaway!
After relocating to California I lost my golf clubs about 3 years ago as I left them in Florida and was unable to retrieve them. I played with good clubs before: Taylor Made, Ping, Mizuna and Cleveland equipment. My goal was to find a set for around $500 and happy to say MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. I had always been a bogey golfer and just needed a durable set. I am also in my late 50's so I needed to find something more forgiving than my Mizuno forged irons. This set was perfect! I have played 2 rounds now and while today's round wasn't stellar, I was hitting the driver around 200 or so and hit many greens with the irons. The hybrids are perfect for my game.
