Caltrate 600-D Plus Minerals - 155 Chewables

I was taking Caltrate Plus. One at night after a meal, as per instructions. I have been unable to sleep well and do feel tired during the day. I am generally full of energy every day and this has come as a surprise to me. I believe there is nothing in those tablets that can cause tiredness, but nothing has changed lifestyle wise for me apart from the minute I commenced the tablets, I have had problems sleeping. I have investigated everything associated with not being able to sleep well and this is the very first time in my life I have had this problem.

Much better than regular calcium pills

I actually bought these thinking they were gummies but they are actually pretty tasty. They taste a bit like Pez/Flintstones vitamins! My other calcium pills were so large I could barely choke them down and they made me sick to my stomach. This seems like a much better option.

PLEASANT TO TAKE, GOOD FOR YOUR BONES

Caltrate Chewables has been my calcium of choice for many years. My doctor recommended them after I found out I have Osteopenia which I still have, but it's never progressed to Osteoporosis. I actually look forward to taking these, they are delicious and pleasant to chew. I like the large size container because they last a long time, I order them here because I can never find the large container locally. I sometimes received the smaller container by mistake when ordering, the container looks the same but not chewable with smaller tablets easily mistaken for these, which you don't chew, I now look out for the word "Chewable" on container.

Taste good and easy to chew

I've been using Caltrate chewables for years. I do get calcium from food as well but supplement with these chewables. A bonus is that if you have a bit of reflux it takes care of the acid as well. I do take a separate liquid vitamin D as I don't absorb vitamin D from solids very well. The chewables taste good and I find that I'm much more likely to use supplements when they're chewable as I hate swallowing pills. My blood tests on my annual physical show that my calcium levels are good every year so these must be helping.

Taste is gross for eating chalk.

I’m not a fan. I wasn’t paying attention and thought these were gummy vitamins. You might as well eat chalk. Yuck! And the taste on top of it is gross. Waste of money.
