These bottles have lasted me well over 1 decade. I just put them in the dishwasher every few days. They are great for carrying on the go. They are also great for anyone who cares about the environment and is aware that the majority of recycled plastic bottles (Evian, Dasani, etc) actually get dumped in the ocean. I also love the fact that even if the spout is open, you have to squeeze it in order for water to come out. (Which is a great thing for a klutz like me.)

The maroon color of this bottle almost matches my bike perfectly. Very good bottle, is lightweight and easy to clean. There is also no need to pop up the top when getting a drink, just leave it unlocked and squeeze it. No leaking over bumps like cheaper bottles. My only gripe, which isn't really related to the bottle, is that it does not fit my cages very well. I have super cheap aluminum cages from walmart, so I kind of expect that, but probably add on some wrap around cages instead of the U shaped metal ones for a smoother fit.

tldr: The newly designed spout system is a horrible design that breaks easily. I expect more from Camelbak. I never chew on the lid or bite excessively. Of the 80+ Podium bottles I’ve owned over the last 8 years or so, I’ve only had a handful of spouts with the original-design fail. For the most part, I order new bottles because I’ve lost them or because I’ve given them away to friends. Seeing that my inventory was running low, I recently made a purcahse of 20 x Camelbak Podium 24oz water bottles. I could see in the online picture that the design of the lid had changed, and wasn’t sure if they’d be interchangeable with my older bottles. They were, and I was pleased. However, my pleasure was short lived as after only a few days the spouts started to break. It’s now been a couple of months and of my 20 brand-new bottles, only 10 have the spout intact! This is absolutely unacceptable and Camelback should be ashamed of this poorly designed system. I literally have some 8-year-old lids with the original-designed spout still in perfect condition, while these 2-month-old newly-designed spouts are ripped apart.Camelback, what were you thinking?

I fell in love with the one way valve in the lid years ago. I have no use for the locking function but otherwose the lid and valve are the only reason I am willing to pay this much for a water bottle. It doesn't leak or spil. It can be disassembled and cleaned. The bottle is a bit rigid to squeeze and has thin spost that are ramdom so I doubt they are intended as flex points.
A fantastic job of cost reduction to what was a fantastic product.1) reduced nozzle height-cap hits you in the nose if you do not tilt the bottle just right.2) Killed the great necked down section that promoted to easy squeeze-ability.3) I suspect the plastic was changed for a cost reduction-different feel to the bottles compliance. Plastics have very different modulus of elasticities depending on which one you use and this effects the compliance.4) I am continuing to search for a replacement.
I have the black version and can say it looks a bit more glossy IRL (see the "Smoke" colour to see what I mean), the picture here gives the impression it's a matte black finish.Other than that, it's perfect for cycling. Even when the bottle isn't locked, unless you are squeezing the bottle, it's very hard to get it to leak. Easy to clean and seems durable. No plastic smell at all from day one.
This is the perfect solution for the way I go to the gym. i stick the bottle on my bag and know it won't leak...as long as I remember to turn the top to the closed position. It's strong enough to holdup in the bag where I throw other things.I have one for my bike, but never thought about using these bottles in the gym. And I got bright colors (got 2 of them) so I won't forget to pick them up from the equipment I am using. At least that is the hope.
I cycle frequently and I prefer CamelBak over other bottle options and own many CamelBak bottles. I also only use the insulated bottles. The 24oz white speckle regular pictures shows the insulated bottle and still does as of this writing. The bottle looks nothing like the picture and the delivered bottles are transparent and not insulated. The insulated bottle in white is clearly white with speckles where the non-insulated one is clear plastic with speckles. Hence I returned it. Hopefully they read this review and correct the pictures.
I've never owned a bottle that doesn't leak... until now! You can tell this brand make bottles with a certain science. I know some will say its just a bottle that you drink from, but actually the smoothness and the quantity of which the water flows out feels bespoke. Easily the best bottle I've owned, has a premium feel to it. Only slight qualm is that I reserved instore and paid £12 online - but the bottle was £8.99 in the shop, so overpaid - my fault really, should have spoke up.
I normally get your basic bicycling water bottles, but they were out of stock when I bought this one. 90% of the time I use these is just for every day water drinking. The anti-spill works well, but it is kind of distracting how the bottle will slowly over the next 15-60 minutes 'creak-creak-creak' as its pressure comes to equilibrium. Sometimes it startlingly comes out of the blue after an hour of being quiet. The twist-to-lock feature is effective, but because of how hard it is to twist, I am unlikely to use it except for deep-in-the-backpack-on-a-long-hike storage - leaving no more casual 'lock' mechanism. So I think I'm likely to stick to the basic pop-and-squirt bottles for future purchases.
