I bought this for my wife because of the smaller size and lightweight. I use a larger one with similar features. We day hike and having your water readily available while keeping your hands free is important. I like the easy fill bladder with the handle and screw on lid. The bite valve and shut also are also nice features. On my older hydration systems the valve would eventually start dripping.

I've not had a chance to use this, this review is about first impressions and the fit. The fit is excellent. I did have to let out the straps a lot in order to fit well and I am not a large woman, but the straps still have excess length, so I am happy with the over all fit. It's a slim design, not many bells and whistles, perfect for short hikes. Exactly what I expected. Will review again after use.

Got this for mountain biking and snowboarding. Itās a great piece of equipment with some handy features (like detachable hose, a filling handle, and a short secure seal on the thread). I particularly like the colour and the ease of filling the bladder without the bag or hose attached. However there are some annoyances: - The tie on the inside of the backpack is too long to hold the bladder up, so the bladder slips down and then stops water from flowing. - The hose isnāt stiff enough, so when you bring the mouth piece up to take a drink, it kinks and stops the flow of water. Like the length between shoulder & mouth is too short? - Thereās no hook or magnet to hold the mouth piece, so itās never in the same spot when you go to find it. Been a road rider for my whole life and always wondered why you would not just mount water bottles on your gravel or mountain bike. I learned quickly that a system like this is a must if you don't want to eat dirt from your bottle spout. This does what it is supposed to do and I am very happy with the purchase. Make sure you clean the bladder well if you have any thing other that H2O in it. If you just use H2O then make sure you let it air dry so you don't get mold.
Handy lightweight backpack. Second zipped section useful for keeping a small toolkit, snack and car keys safe. Was hoping it would be big enough to hold a rainproof jacket, but would need to be a light pack-a-mack.Chest strap came unstitched on first use but re-stitched and seems to be holding.Happy overall.
I like that this Camelbak holds more fluid than my old pack and not bulky with a lot of pouches/pockets. I use it for biking so the bright color is great. I like that the design is a little easier to clean than my old pack. Although the strap across the chest needs to be adjustable (up and down). The strap keeps the pack stable, but is in an awkward spot for me as a small breasted woman. I'm not sure I like the new design of the angled mouth piece. I find myself fumbling around with it trying to get the angled piece in my mouth right to drink. The bladder is easy to fill with the attached handle that my old Camelbak did not have. Although I do not like how the bladder attaches to the inside of the pack to keep it from sliding down. It's should be designed so it's ...Ā MoreI like that this Camelbak holds more fluid than my old pack and not bulky with a lot of pouches/pockets. I use it for biking so the bright color is great. I absolutely love this thing. I use it for moderately long (~50 miles) bike rides, just to make sure Iām drinking consistently and staying hydrated throughout the ride. Empty, it weighs almost nothing. Full, itās not overwhelmingly heavy. The backpack is comfortable (Iām 5ā9ā and slightly overweight and have had no issues with fit, tightness, etc.) and holds about the equivalent of a two-liter bottle of liquid. The hose from the bladder is conveniently placed and very easy to access while riding. It clips in so it doesnāt flop around and bother me. The mouthpiece is easy to work. Water flows easily when the mouthpiece is squeezed, and whether or not the lock is on, liquid doesnāt leak out if the hose is down.I canāt completely vouch for durability, as Iāve had it a ...Ā MoreI absolutely love this thing. Itās not huge, but there really is plenty of room to carry a wallet, bandages, gels, or smaller items you need during a ride, hike, or run. This has met or exceeded all my expectations for use during my rides and I highly recommend it.
I love the color of this Camelbak. The front pocket is big enough for sunscreen, a wallet, keys, and minimal first aid kit. I was even able to strap a thin layer on with the bungees on the outside. HOWEVER, it has a major flaw.... LEAKING BLADDER. I have tried to use this pack twice now. First time heading out with it, I filled up the bladder, set it with my backpack, then noticed my pack was SOAKED when packing the car. I didn't have time to sort out the leak, so I left the Camelbak at home and took a trusty water bottle. Next time out with it, I filled the bladder up, applied pressure, didn't see any leaks, so I hit the trail. About 1/2 a mile in, my back was soaked with water. Next time out with it, I filled the bladder up, applied pressure, didn't see any leaks, so I hit the trail. About 1/2 a mile in, my back was soaked with water. I couldn't figure out where the water was leaking from. Tried to dry it off, disconnected and reconnected the hose; no leaks, so started hiking again. Minutes later, water was dripping from the bottom! I dumped the water out and continued the hike without water. My hiking partner had some, so I was ok, just wet and cold in the wind from the leaking bladder. Back at home, I can't figure out where the leak is coming from. I won't use the bladder anymore. I do like the pack though. So... not sure it's worth the money, since I need to find a replacement bladder now. Great small pack though for short hikes.
This Camelbak has a poor design. It is difficult to get to the bladder to fill it especially from a water fountain. Do the designers actually use this? Also the bladder does not seem to hold as much liquid as prior models. I suspect that this will be the last Camelbak that I will buy.
Works great overall.Plenty of storage.Hose that comes with it doesn't look u def the arm. The hose points down.Tiny bit different from other packs I've used. Works just as well
