I splashed out on this coat at the Canada Goose store on Regents Street in London earlier this year.Right now I’m in Vegas and this coat is amazing! Packs down to a pillow which is great for the flight. The temp at night has been close to zero (and below in Palm Springs) and I can only wear it with a t-shirt it’s so cozy. If anything it’s too warm at anything above 10-15° or if you are hiking. I’ve no quality issues with mine and I love that it is shower proof. Far too much money for one coat unless you are super wealthy (I’m not) but I don’t regret buying it for a second.

Delighted with this jacket! I bought it as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend, and it’s been a hit! It’s more than just warmth; it’s like a personal heater in freezing temperatures. The heating feature works wonders, keeping him comfortably warm without feeling bulky. The design is stylish, and the quality is top-notch. Definitely a win for the winter season!

This jacket is warm, looks amazing, and is top quality. My husband’s previous down jacket (a different brand) kept losing feathers at the seams and because of the construction of this jacket, it is obvious that won’t be a problem with this jacket. So far it has been a great northern Canada winter jacket. I’m sure if it dips to below -20 a shell would be good to add on top. For the temps between +10 to -15, it has perfect.

Great jacket that is warm, very lightweight, not too bulky and has an ample hood but... the front zipper closure of the jacket is a nightmare and I already returned one with the same problem. The one I got to replace it is worse. Often takes me 5-6 (sometimes more) tries to engage the zipper so that it will function. I rarely get it on the first try. I've simply never had a problem like this with any of my coats. I'm 54 years old, quite healthy and neurologically sound and have owned quite a few coats, jacket, sweatshirts, fleeces, etc. in my day and none compare to this. Zipping a coat should NEVER be a challenge. I just don't get it.
Bought this for my husband as a gift. He’s 6’1” with a longer torso and wide shoulders. The XL fits him perfectly. The back is long enough to cover his butt (which he wanted) and a little shorter in the front, which is flattering. As someone looking at him wearing this, the style of the hood is really nice, especially from side view. We live in a suburb of Toronto and mostly drive everywhere, so for a guy who’s in and out of the car and tends to run hot, this is his every day winter coat. He’s picky about fabrics and the material is soft and breathable. All in all a great coat, and worth the investment.
I just received the Lodge Hooded Jacket. I believe I have been looking for the perfect coat for years and I have found it! The size guide is fairly accurate. I am 5’5”, 125 pounds, chest 36/37, waist 31/32, hips 37/38 and sleeve length 31/32. I ordered the size small and it fits perfectly. I live in the Midwest with winter temperatures averaging 20-30 degrees F. This jacket is extremely warm and the hood is well insulated. I recommend the matte black and the red sleeve emblem is very smart looking. It’s true that you get what you pay for and quality certainly has its price. Do yourself a favor and buy this jacket before you buy three other cheaper coats that won’t remotely compare. My only regret is that I didn’t just buy this jacket sooner. I never write reviews but this hoody is a huge disappointment. I bought it to replace my old lodge hoody that I have been happy with for 6 or 7 years. The quality of this one is very poor. No where near as well insulated and solidly built than my original. If I had the option, I would return it as poor quality for the price.
I have to preface this review by saying that I am a puffer jacket enthusiast. I'm a climber, a hiker, trail runner, and frequent coffee shop denizen. I adore and have owned dozens of Patagonia, Arc'teryx, Rab, Cotapaxi, and other brands of these down filled babies. Each brand has its strengths and weakness. Some of them keep you warm, some leak down more than others, the Arc'teryx hoods aren't great if you aren't wearing a helmet. You get the point. I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about the outer material (all puffers tear), or the down leaking (all puffers do to some degree). I got this jacket, and I can't rave about it enough. The attention to every thread, every stitch, and every design is of the utmost quality. The attention to every thread, every stitch, and every design is of the utmost quality. The warmth of this would do for any mountain town, or crag that I want to climb. It feels like wearing a cloud and is at least twice as comfortable as my Arc'teryx Solo Belay, or Thorium AR jacket. The substantial weight of the jacket makes the heftier price tag absolutely worth it. The pull strings in the pockets to tighten the jacket around the waist is a nice touch. There are a dozen reasons I could sing the praises of this jacket but it's down filled hood is leagues beyond what any other producer is making right now. This is the Holy Grail of Puffer Jackets and I loved it so much in Black I picked up a Northern Night colorway too! I'm 5'8", 170, athletic climber build (big shoulders) and the medium was a perfect fit. Throw this jacket on and it will make you feel like you as cozy as being in front of a fireplace in a hazy little cabin nestled in the mountains.
It's that time of the year to get the CG Lodge Down Hoody out when the temps are between 12° to 0°. Love the quality, look and fit of the CG Lodge Hoody from the 1st time I tried one on in a store years ago, purchased it on the spot... that style had a ripstop fabric & low-profile puffy-look to it. And as other reviewers mentioned of the gray inside (this earlier model had the gray inner fabric).Recently, I purchased another CG Lodge Down Hoody in the black matt fabric... this style has the same dope look (less puff and no shine) and it fits great! The Lodge Down Hoody is suitable for mild winters (or Fall season in my region). Light-weight yet keeps you nicely warm. I have survived entire winters with the Lodge Down Hoody alone... but I'll resort to my CG Black Label MacMillian for the harsher part of the winter! Stay warm everyone with your Canada Goose!
Great everyday jacket for colder weather.. High quality materials and workmanship, and very warm. I'm 6' 210lbs and have a long torso, the XL fits me perfect. Most jackets fit a bit short on me, this fits perfect! The back is slightly longer than the front, which I really like, helps keep the wind out. Shipping was fast, came well packaged in a sealed scheels box.
