This coat is designed for warmth and style. I haven't found a coat that keeps me super warm from the harsh NYC winters and also looks good on me. The interior drawstring waist actually creates a flattering shape, unlike my past jackets that were just super puffy and gave me no shape at all. I feel like I'm walking around with a down comforter wrapped around me, its cozy and warm. The wind has been brutal the past few days and I just put up the hood and I'm in a cocoon of warmth and sheltered from the bitter wind. If you're debating on getting this, debate no more, this is the one!

Yes agree 100% with this. Purchasing this coat has been a nightmare! At first I couldn’t purchase online & had to chat with someone to even purchase it because there was an error online. After purchasing the item via chat they then cancelled my order because of suspected fraud. I had to call & reinitiate the order. The item eventually shipped. Then I had to return it in store because the sizes as quoted online apparently are way off. When I got home with the size Large coat I realized one of my button pieces is detached. So now I have to either go back to the store to return it AGAIN. It’s annoying and inconvenient.

I am a chubby girl, 5'3" 200 pounds. It is very hard when it comes to find a coat makes me look slimmer. I have Burberry Coats, Prada puffy coat etc. None of them is as practical and warm as this one. The design of the streching line in the back makes me look much thinner. It gives me extra room to move around in the leg areas becuase I have a big hip too, the design of the coat makes me look so much better than Canada Goose Victoria or Trillium coat. The only down side of this is this is a 3 instead of 4, it is for weather between -5 celcius to -20 celcius. The Trillium parka is for weather between -10 to -25. I chose design over the warmth because it is not that cold in New York compare to other places. :)

Like others say, and like CG is known for, this coat is WARM. It is great for less than 20F days. I have been wearing it around denver in single digits and it is plenty warm. The pockets on the front are well placed for form and function. There is an internal cinch and the hood is removable as well as having a removable front section. I prefer this coat to others as there is no unnecessary foxier trim which is why I purchased this one compared to the other CG coats.
Elizabeth is a great representative of the legendary Nordstrom customer service. She knew all of the jackets inside and out. She was patient and informative and helped my daughter select the perfect jacket that fit her. She also showed her all of the features of the jacket. Again, she was a pleasure and provided a very nice to experience during the busy holidays. Thank you for making my daughter feel special. Happy holidays!
I was originally looking into purchasing the Victoria bc I wanted more of a slim fit coat but something wasn’t right. As soon as I tried the Rossclair I fell in love! It’s the perfect length and felt much more comfortable and warmer than the Victoria. What I also love about this coat is you can cinch the waist to show off that waistline. I know the price tag is expensive but this coat will last you a LONG time and worth every penny. For reference I’m 134 lbs. and 5’4 and got a size Small in black.
I bought this coat just before a weekend trip to Boston & wow, did I ever need it! This coat is windproof & warm. It has many great features: interior zipped pocket, double outer pockets, button & zipper closure to name a few. Oh, and the backpack straps? They are GREAT. I thought they were kind of silly until I was walking around shops & wanted to remove my coat. They make it hands free. This coat is fitted so, if you are on the upper end of a size go up. I am 5'7", 150 lbs & wear a Large. Fits perfectly.
Nice coat. The fit is fine. Being a slim fit in CG I find that XL works for me when I normally wear Medium to Large. CG tends to run small depending on the described fit for the style. Be prepared to size up. It's very warm and I like the color too.
You can't go wrong with Canada Goose, especially when you live up north! The style is flattering, and the black color is a very solid black (I tried on so many black jackets, it was eye-opening to see the differences!). Overall, CG is the best, so warm, and fitted.
5’9” 175lbs. I wear large. Big chested. Def needed the XL because the shoulders seem smaller.Patagonia and NorthFace owner, I wanted an investment for the Midwest lakes. This WILL keep me warm. It’s toasty yet not overbearing. Not puffy! Classy. Can attach fur line if I wanted. Covers my butt!Worthy investment. Glad I pulled the trigger. Bought Alpine White and I def stand out from the black puffy crowd. Love it.
