Pros: Overall a great little camera for your holidays. Curry's should make it very clear that this is no professional tool, least a beginner is confused; but it's definitely a great bargain considering the two lenses, and I strongly advise it to detox from out addiction to phone cameras. You will not believe how much gets compressed and lost when you use your phone compared to something like this. The camera is obviously extremely fragile, and the mirrors are exposed every time you change lenses: watch out for dust or abrupt bumps!Cons: I would have preferred to find a USB cable in the package so that one can download pictures straight away. The SD card was also a problem: not only there is none included in the bundle (again, thanks for not alerting the buyer - I had to order one and wait for days), but you will not find anywhere any specification about which card format is compatible with the camera. For someone city-based, it means taking the camera to a shop, and enlist the help of an expert to find the right card; for someone in the countryside like me, it meant hours of web forums and spec charts until I could work out whether it was a mini, a 0.3, etc

Pros: The camera is fully automatic. Just point and shoot.Cons: Didn’t receive memory stick. Curry’s didn’t have one in stock Camera is no use without one. Bought one from Amazon, delivered next day. Also no USB cable. Had to purchase one myself. I thought that having paid a substantial sum for camera better after sales would have been expected.

Good Entry Level DSLR Camera
7 July 2020

I purchased the Canon camera to update from a point and shoot digital camera that served me for over ten years. After reading and watching YouTube videos, I decided to upgrade to this camera. Overall I am pleased with the purchase, but you must make up your mind to learn to shoot in the manual mode. Using the auto-mode strictly and depending on the camera, I felt the images were not as beautiful as my old point and shoot camera. Since leaving the auto-mode and using manual mode plus learning to set the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO correctly, I have noticed a difference for the better. So buy the camera if learning interests you, and if not, you are better off with a point and shoot camera. So buy the camera if learning interests you, and if not, you are better off with a point and shoot camera. Another item is that the video quality is not the best, but again I did not buy it so much to shoot video. I own a 4k camcorder that serves that purpose. Other notable items to mention about the camera are the battery life is spectacular. In the three weeks of ownership and taking over 100 photos and five-minutes of video, recharge only once needed to be done. The on-off switch is helpful for a modern high-tech electronic device and only needs pushed forward to turn on and pulled back to turn off. There is no irritating power button like all cell phones, tablets, and other new items thatrequire holding the button for a few seconds to be ready to use. Another great feature of the camera is being able to shoot RAW images, which opens up a massive amount of photography opportunities. If all the above interests you, the Canon camera will serve your needs.

Pros: The Canon EOS2000D is reasonably light for a DSLR, the bulk of the weight coming from the lens. Build quality of the body is good, with a metal lens locking ring rather than plastic. Grip placement good, although large hands might struggle to find it comfortable. Functions were very easily learnt, so I was up and running with the various settings quickly. Excellent quality photos in automatic mode along with the settings for portraits, landscapes, macro and sports. It coped well with low light conditions and the camera’s decision when to pop the flash works well; this can be turned off if you do not want the flash to fire. Video was particularly good, although expect to have a large amount of your SD card used! Video was particularly good, although expect to have a large amount of your SD card used! Creative auto setting is brilliant, with the ability to tweak the depth of field easily for stunning effect. The camera also has manual modes for those who like to tweak their settings to the nth degree. LCD screen is of a decent size although suffers, like all screens, from total washout in bright sun. Viewfinder is much easier to use, focal points light up when locked onto the subject and there is a fast response from the camera when the shutter button is pressed. I love the wireless function; photos were transferred to my phone without a hitch. There is the option to purchase other lenses for those who are deep into the photographic art, and this camera has the ability and flexibility to get you started on this path.Cons: As stated, the LCD screen will suffer, like all screens, from bright sunlight but the viewfinder is an excellent alternative and my personal preference. Some people might prefer the options on screen to be touch enabled rather than selection through the buttons, but in my experience touch screen selection is not always that accurate. Because of its size, the camera is not bag friendly but that’s a trade off between being able to take excellent photographs or quick snaps from a phone or a pocket camera.

No way to mount the included lens to the camera.
22 March 2022

I like the camera a lot. It came just as described. It was new and in its original box. I was so excited to use the camera and the telephoto lens that came with it. I immediately put the battery on the charger and waited. Once the battery had charged as the instructions said I began to unpack everything else. When I got to the telephoto lens I realized they were not the same mounts and that there was no adapter. There was the 2x extender, and that fits on the lens without any issue (they are the same brand), but there is no way to attach the lens to my camera so I can use it.I did some research prior to buying a camera and I learned that if the mounting system on the lens is not the same as the camera then you can buy an adapter to use a lens with that camera. I assumed that if the lens came with the bundle then it would come with a lens I could attach with or without an adapter. I was wrong to assume this. I did not see an adapter in the list of what was included in the box so I figured it must have been the same mounting type and all would be good.If I had known I would need an adapter I may have bought one when I bought the camera or I would have chosen another camera bundle package.Being able to use that lens was the main reason I purchased this particular item. I feel like I was misled at the very least. If this package was meant to come with the adapter and it just didn't get put in the box then I will update my review when I get that.

Pros: Canon product, so excellent durability. Really good image quality for an APS-C Canon "crop" camera.Best dlsr camera for price range.Very good battery life. Very easy to transfer photo to phone or devices wirelessly.Cons: No image stabilisation on the camera which isn’t great when recording on the move, although you can purchase lenses with image stabilisation. There are better products at this price for video recording but not for photography.

Would Not Recomend for a Beginner .
31 August 2021

Took two days to get it too connect to the phone app. Had to charge the battery twice to achieve this also. Have given up on trying to connect the wi-fi. Very disappointed with the early photos and the magnification on the lens too! Although the price on the site was very good. I put no for is it good value as a beginner I wanted a cheap DSLR and did not have to expect to pay more for an additional lens than what the kit cost me, and over four more times the price I paid for the kit for a telephoto lens. IS isn't that clever either. Needs a tripod. Have bought a bridge camera too. A lot better, with great results out the box, for a beginner. Same problem connecting to the phone, wi-fi etc though.
