It's an inkjet printer so the inks run dry eventually. I have had difficulties connecting this printer to my computer through Wi-Fi, so i have to use the USB cord, which is inconvenient. Otherwise, its a good printer. Prints well :)

Perhaps I'm wearing blinkers but I've used Canon printers for the last 25 years. I needed a reasonable quality A3 printer and this one was at an attractive price. Wireless setup was easy and the speed and quality have been excellent. I've only been using it for a few weeks so it's too new to see how long the ink lasts. Overall very happy.

The printer itself is great. Love the sleek design. The software that goes with it is old and clunky though. When you're trying to set it up and problem solve why things aren't working properly, it's hard to get to the solution. Arrived quickly and well packaged.

I too couldn't get the WiFi set up to work but USB is fine. A good printer for A3 size posters. I have used it for many reasons and have not been disappointed yet. I once had an issue with the heads, and all I did was clean them and all is well again. I use this printer weekly printing out many sheets of paper for work.
Easyish to setup - I did use cable rather than wireless as I will be trying out more complicated printing that requires setting up for user specified (custom) printing width length.
I bought Pixma iX6860 a couple of months ago and installed it on my computer with the software. However, as I still had another Canon printer software on my computer, I could not install the full software of the iX6860 on the same computer. Therefore I could not print any photo to give answers to the above questions. Perhaps, I have to uninstall the other software before I may use the new printer.
Canon make great printers. The only problem I encountered is with the print head. After a deep clean the printer worked superbly recommend this printer.
It effortlessly meets the requirements of everything I need from clear, high quality photo prints to basic black and white confirmation sheets. Great value for money and delivery was effortless!
One of the few quality ink jet A3 printers available at an affordable price for a relatively low income earning photo hobbyist. At least I could use up my left over inks from my previous printer of the same model. Usually one is left with numerous unused cartridges when a printer dies. A problem in Australia is that it is hard to get printers repaired and refurbished when something goes wrong. My previous Canon IX6860 seemed to pull the paper about 3cms from the final end resulting in a poor spray pattern leaving a distinct light patch the full width of the print about 1 cm wide. this occurred after a period of heavy use for photo prints only so I needed to replace it. Prints awesome for my needs and also prints fast witch saves me alot of time for other things I need to do
