Item purchased as a gift so not given to recipient for a few weeks after receipt. When recipient given camera worked for a week then completely quit. Vendor unwilling to assist since just past 30 days or receipt...seriously. Don't make any early purchases for holiday because if item quits working you're out of luck.

Adorama gets 5 stars, this camera gets 0. I had issues with the first camera so Adorama exchanged it. The second camera is junk as well. Bought the 4K HF G50 to replace the HD HF M40. The HD video quality from the HF M40 is much better than the 4K I am getting from the G50. The video out of the G50 is not smooth and fluid. Moving objects i.e. trains, cars, birds, trees & tall grass blowing in the wind, anything moving all have a stutter to them. This is visible through the view finder or lcd when recording. Even when recording at 1920 x 1080 the video retains the stutter. I've shot in both full auto and in manual with the Tv set at 2000 with the same results. Even when slowly zooming or slowly panning there is a visible stutter to the motion.

Another great Canon Vixia! We got this to up our livestream game and boy it has it. Love the simplicity of the Canon menu system and a clean HDMI out. No cons that I've experienced so far.

The Canon VIXIA HF G50 4K UHD Camcorder has been a success. We bought them to do live recordings at our church and the quality is great for a reasonable price and they are pretty easy to set up. We haven't had any issue so far, I would definitely recommend it.
Light weight but powerful enough for indoor recordings of religious services.No additional mic was needed, nor lights.Camera has a wide range and provides corrected color under demanding situations.For the price an excellent video recorder.Those with large church or temples, may require a camera with greater dynamic capabilities.
Pros: Has many advanced features with stunning picture quality.Cons: Video files are quite large and not all televisions cope with the 150mb/s files.
Pros: This camera gives superb quality images including 4K. Also it has a variety of speeds including 0.5 slow motion. The zoom lens enables close-ups from a long distance. There are all the built-in features that most filmmakers would require include image stabilisation.Cons: Compared with the Canon Legria HF G10, I miss the built-in memory. Recording is only possible onto SD card. But this is not a problem or a criticism.
