I bought this last night. Not happy. During the initial setup, I received an error message. The printer is faulty right from purchase. For a very busy lady with a lot of urgent printing, not a good look. Canon wanted to charge for assistance.

This printer read so well in the reviews. **** Print quality - very good print quality **** Very economical on ink consumption. ** Build quality - Feels VERY cheap. Flimsy paper receiving tray. Very flimsy paper trays and paper guides feel like they will not last long. Printers overall build quality looks and feels cheap and flimsy. * Rear bypass tray - Printing with DL envelopes - constantly will not recognize DL envelope size. Can only load around 10 envelopes at a time and these jam frequently. * Printer Constantly wants attention that requires a button to be pressed on the printer itself. Overpriced, poor build quality and constant paper feeding issues. Often requires manual intervention at the printer, this is just a result of poor programming from Canon. In ... Overall good printer although the scan to email function is extremely difficult to set up. In the end I worked out through multiple forums that you need to allow “less than secure apps” on the gmail account but that function is now no longer available so you effectively can’t do it without your own server now. Disappointing as it was the key reason behind the purchase. Bulk ink is a really good idea and easy to load. All other functions work well.
