The Canon G7x has amazing picture quality. I love that it is lightweight and that makes it so easy to vlog/film on the go! The only thing that I don't like about it is that it is frustrating in regards to the focus. Sometimes it does take awhile to focus. But that is my only complaint in regards to the Canon G7x. It is definitely a must have for all vloggers. This camera is a vloggers dream camera. While a little bulkier than some of the older Elph Point and Shoots, this camera is still super portable and takes amazing video and stellar photos. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because the auto focus is slow and laggy. Could be improved upon.

I'm an amateur photographer at best, let me put that out there first. I need a camera for 3 things: travel, concerts & selfies with my friends. But I want the pictures that I take to be spectacular! :) I've owned Canons all my life, but the G12 was my absolute favorite. It felt great in my hand, it was portable, had a flip screen, and just took fantastic pictures. So when a friend of mine dropped it on a marble hotel lobby floor, I was devastated. I did a little bit of research on Canon repairs and didn't like what I found, so I decided to try the G7.It definitely feels different in my hand & even a little awkward at first. The mode dial and the shutter button should switch positions....having the shutter button further away makes it harder to hold the camera in ... Not a huge deal though. I purchased a really cool, sleek leather case to go with it, so it is still small enough to slide in my purse. My biggest negative with this camera, and honestly I have no idea what they were thinking when they designed it, is an exterior record/movie button. It is located right under the thumb rest/camera grip. I can't tell you how many accidental videos I have recorded in less than one month of owning this camera! On the upside though, it has tons of really cool features. Most are way above my pay grade for me to understand, but I'm learning. I just returned from a trip to Ireland and even in Auto mode have some of the richest, most vibrant pictures! I went into the trip thinking I would probably return the camera, but after seeing my pics I have decided to keep it.And as usual, Adorama was awesome to deal with!

Near mint. Good price for the camera itself, a battery and the charger. All settings work and features work as well. Camera comes in Japanese but you can find a video explaining how to switch to your language on YouTube. Thank you!
I am not going to comment on pictures quality since I believe there are no more bad cameras (only bad photographers).I purchased G7X to replace Canon PS S100 which use for underwater photography quite a bit. G7X has bigger sensor and faster lens which is why I bought it (I use no artificial light underwater).S100 is my pocket take-everywhere camera. G7X is everything but that. It is bulky and heavy for being pocket take-everywhere. That was a bit of a disappointment for me.It has a ton of convenience features that has nothing to do with photography and personally I can live without (but had to pay for anyway). There is just no way to remember where to find them in the menu's anyway. So if you think of G7X as a pocket camera, make sure you have big and strong ... Canon S100 (S120) is just perfect for pocket camera.
I have had my G7X about a month now and I absolutely love it! Sure it's not perfect, but it is one of the best, if not the best, camera I have ever owned. Usually I spend around $250 for a "nice" camera. This one cost me $450, which is a deal for this model, and due to the fact there is no manufacturer's warranty, just the retailer's warranty. The camera is a bit big and heavy: for those that place the highest priority on those things it may not be right for you. The housing is metal and it feels sturdy. Haven't dropped it yet (knock on wood) but I think it could handle a light drop. The G7X takes fantastic pictures. Pictures in dimly lit places like restaurants and without using flash! Haven't dropped it yet (knock on wood) but I think it could handle a light drop. The G7X takes fantastic pictures. Pictures in dimly lit places like restaurants and without using flash! The colors are so natural and life-like indoors and at night - without flash it makes all the difference. It only has 4.2X zoom, but with 20 mega-pixels, you can digitally zoom in and not be that much worse than a 12 MP camera on pure optical zoom. The selfie touch screen also works for overhead shots- just put the camera upside down and fold the screen out to ninety degrees or so, then put it overhead and take your shot over the crowd. If I remember right, it even knows it was upside down and flips the picture over for viewing. I've heard bad things about battery life but I haven't taken iton a vacation yet to really push it. It has an "ECO" mode that puts the camera to sleep after a very short time to safe power, and that is super-annoying since it takes a few seconds to wake back up after going to sleep. So it's not perfect, but it is head and shoulders above the $200 compact point and shoots and way cheaper than the Sony RX 100 cameras, which I heard are only marginally better.
I bought this camera mostly for underwater photography to replace Powershot s100 I used for many years.Faster lens, large sensor and low noise at high ISO were the selling points for me. These things are critical for shooting in low light of underwater environment without artificial lights (I do not use strobes due to bulk and overall hustle. Custom white balance takes care of colors for me).I am still in doubt if buying G7x it was right idea.Compare to Powershot S100 (110,120) Canon G7x is bulky, heavy and cost 2-3 times more. Powershot S100 is a superb pocket camera that goes everywhere with me. Besides being a much better camera G7x is not your everyday carry-with-you compact,I am not commenting on photographic qualities of this camera since IMHO there are ... But I am not holding my breath for that.
Got this for my wife as an ultra-portable alternative to an SLR. Photos are excellent in almost all lighting conditions. White balance and noise handling is very good. This is the bottom line. The less positive comments I make are not deal-breakers, but just things to be aware of. Flip-up screen is handy for waist-level perspective - greater flexibility (flip down) would have been handy. Selfie mode is marginally useful - difficult to press the shutter while holding out. Practically impossible to do right-handed without obscuring the screen completely. Battery life could be better, but good enough for all-day use. NFC function is marginally useful - it still requires manual Wi-Fi configuration to do anything, so why bother; also, will sync to only one smart device - ...
