I had been stalking this company and these pots/pans for a year. Once our new build home was ready for us to move in, I knew it was time to treat myself to Caraway. Initially I ordered the Navy Blue set, but upon receiving them realized the Grey set would be a much better match for our kitchen aesthetic. I cooked up 2 fried eggs with such ease. Very little olive oil was used and they literally slid right off the pan. The cleaning of the pan was easy as well, nothing had stuck to the pan, so no scrubbing was needed. Just a light sponge bath with dish soap and it was clean as a whistle. I couldn't be happier or more impressed. I will note that as my pots and pans are in deep storage drawers, as opposed to cabinets, the pan racks do not work for me as the drawer won't close if the pots/pans are on their side in the holders. I have to place them bottom side down in order for the drawer to close. I can only use the pan holder for the mini duo set and for the 4.5 qt saute pan. The 6.5 qt dutch oven, the 3 qt sauce pan and the 10.5 frying pan won't fit on their side. I am not mad about it though, just sharing for other who may also have the pots/pans pull out drawers under their stove top like me.I LOVE LOVE LOVE these pots/pans. My only regret is that in my haste to unbox the set, I didn't realize that in the box were two cork trivets as well as the 2 hooks for the lid holder. I just removed the 4 pans, the lids, the lid storage fabric holder, the cleaning sponge and the instruction booklet. I wish there was a way to get those bonus items since mine went out with the recycling container, still inside the box!

I was eyeing the beautiful yellow set for a while before I treated myself to this dreamy set of cookware. I enjoy cooking and wanted to invest in a healthy and chic set for my new nest; but sadly they didn’t meet my expectations after all.1) The handles get supper hot and collect tons of condensation, more than what you would expect from a similar vessel, which caused me to burn myself multiple times.2) The bottom of the pan got scratched up rather quickly and easily.3) despite using strictly a wood or plastic spoon, plus hand washing them with a soft sponge right after use, I observed scratches form in a short period of time.4) you’ll have to be careful not to let an oil stain sit on the paint for long because it will permanently change its color.5) if ... MoreI was eyeing the beautiful yellow set for a while before I treated myself to this dreamy set of cookware. It started slow, a few months in there was some sticking but in about a year (a little less even), the main frying pan which I use essentially everyday started to stick horribly. I contacted Caraway and they told me to try boiling vinegar and baking soda in the pan to clean and revive the nonstick. This helped a little bit but did not bring it back to anywhere close to "like new." The pan consistently got worse and of course the pan was out of the one year warranty time when this started and it needed replaced - go figure. Want to scramble some eggs? Forget about it. I was so upset about it (still am) and thought it was originally our fault, so my partner bought me a new pan to replace it and guess what. In about a year THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I understand these pans are made for "low-medium heat" but come on!! We are careful as one can be about keeping the pans at low-med heat, always using silicon spatulas, and hand washing. I own a gas stove top so not sure if this is a problem? If so buyers with gas stoves beware and Caraway should be more transparent if this is a common problem. I bought these pans thinking they would be a forever set; pricey and beautiful, but that's about it. I would not recommend these to anyone who cooks a lot, but perfect if you don't and just want something to look pretty on your countertop. I'm truly disappointed, these pans have such a big hype and I didn't have that experience at all. For the price point they should be marketed differently and have a better warranty program. I give it 2 stars, might even be 1 star, only because they are such a nice looking set (new lol) and they are apparently non-toxic, but the practically of them really sucks. Side note: The large frying pan, and two pots are not as bad, but they also get used WAY less. They are still discoloring and sticking slightly.

No matter what method I use to heat these pans, everything sticks. I use butter, ghee, oil to see if one cooks better than the other, no. I let the pan heat up before placing any food in the pan, similar to how you let the pores seal for stainless steel, nope. I keep the fire on low medium heat, nope. Everything sticks and it leaves that cooked staining on the pans to never be removed no matter the cleaning method you use. I have ruined countless meals of eggs, pancakes, anything that requires sautéing. Do not buy these pans unless you want to have to replace your pans quickly. I gave 3 Stars because they are Non-Toxic to your food with them being ceramic and do not have the non-stick toxins that other pans do. These pans are beautiful when you unpack them but they do NOT stay looking like that. They chip, scratch & rust extremely easily. They went from being on display in my kitchen to my ugly pans. These pans do have cleaning instructions to remove stains and rust that do work but in order to keep them looking nice, you will have to repetitively soak them in the mixtures Caraway recommends. These pans are heavy. Some may like the stability and some may find them uncomfortable. But forget about the tasty colors--this nontoxic nonstick is so, so wonderful to cook with. I cook with butter or oils (avocado or olive), to flavor food, but I don't seem to need anything with these pots and pans. They are so evenly heated, don't need as high temps (less gas used and less $), foods tastes great, and cleanup is so easy. They were also very reasonably priced with the bundles. My old calphalon glasd lids fit them, too (I kept those), so I can see what's cookin'! But with poor quality of coating on the inner cover, and the exterior color coating, that makes me double the inner coating is durable at all. I will wait to see how the inner ceramic coating of the cookware last. Or is it same as the coating on the inner side of the cookware covers which is super easy to scratch. Not asking Caraway to have an Le Creuset level quality, but at least good quality coating and scratch resistance should be important goal for you.
