Just follow the instructions for cooking and maintenance (you don’t want to cook on super high heat) and it will stay in good shape and performance. We also have an electric stove/cooktop, which has been the bane of my existence and has proven impossible to cook properly with our stainless steel cookware. However, it has been surprisingly easy with our caraway pan. I chalk it up completely to the pan being so great & versatile (not to the stove because electric stoves are stupid). I would consider myself a difficult person to impress…and when I purchased the 10” fry pan…I loved it. I loved it so much, I purchased 4 more pans to gift to my siblings for Christmas. And I did this despite the fact that the paint chipped on my pan. Including that comment in a review, I was contacted by caraway…who provided me with a reasonable explanation on the “why” (culprit was the good old egg and cracking it on the pan and then cooking). In addition to the explanation, they sent me a replacement pan. Something I did not ask for and that they just did. THAT was impressive to me. Many companies do not have that kind of service these days. I am a fan and will be a loyal customer for life!

Long overdue review

Let me preface this with this is not my first Caraway purchase. We have the saute pan and the also a sauce pan, both of which I have had longer than this frying pan and the quality has held up wonderfully. This pan however, has been complete garbage. When we first got it, I was excited to use it to make eggs so we didn't have to do it in our big saute pan. I used it twice to make fried eggs exactly how I did in our saute pan and they stuck to the pan. I contacted customer service to return and explain that possibly I have a defect, where customer service asked for pictures. Sent pictures, customer service then insisted that the pan was not meant for frying eggs. Excuse me? Isn't that exactly what you have in your photos for this actual product? Sent pictures, customer service then insisted that the pan was not meant for frying eggs. Excuse me? Isn't that exactly what you have in your photos for this actual product? Then they said "oh you just need to use a lot of butter or high heat oil so it won't stick." Like I said, I've been using the saute pan for a long time to make eggs and have had NO issues with a little bit of butter or olive oil, but welcome to stick city on this frying pan. Then they told me, "oh it looks like there is the smallest amount of residue on your pan, try using some soapy water heated up on the oven then try cleaning again, the surface will be cleaner for cooking"...there was literally no residue on the pan, it is a brand new pan. After numerous back and forths with customer service, it was clear to me that Caraway doesn't really hold up to their satisfaction guaranteed statement - more like Caraway gaslights you insisting that you aren't using their product correctly (again, see this is not my first Caraway purchase and the other two products work wonderfully). Now I just get annoyed every time I use this pan and I use it because it cost $100. What a waste of money. If Caraway actually admitted "hey maybe this was a defect, our bad, try out a new one" I'd have a better taste in my mouth. At this point, not sure if I'll buy other Caraway products knowing the hoops you have to jump through in case it's not working as expected. Wanted to love this, expected to love this...what a let down.

Loses non-stick capability in only 2 weeks
5 December 2023

I did a lot of research on non-toxic non-stick pans before ordering, so I was hoping for so much more than this. When I first used my Caraway fry pan, I loved how it worked and was super happy with the purchase, but it didn't take long for my opinion to change. Within 2-3 weeks, the non-stick capability eroded away, everything began to stick, leave a mess, and was difficult to clean. Now I haven't used this pan for months, it just sits on the shelf and I use my old cast iron pans for everything, which are way more "non-stick" than this pan is. I took care of this pan very well too the entire time I had it, hand washing and drying it, using medium-low heat only, only using it to fry eggs. I just don't understand how it could lose it's non-stick so quickly. Extremely ... MoreI did a lot of research on non-toxic non-stick pans before ordering, so I was hoping for so much more than this. Non toxic, induction compatible
3 July 2024

I bought an electric induction range, so I needed to buy pots and pans that were induction compatible. I wanted to stay with non-stick cookware since I didn't want to spend time cleaning stainless steel cookware. After reading about health risk of non-stick cookware, I wanted to buy cookware that were non-toxic. Target had Caraway and another brand that offered both features. Caraway cost more but the quality was much higher. After going through other cheaper brands where the non-stick didn't last, I decided to try Caraway. Hopefully, the ceramic non-stick will last. Target didn't offer the pots and pans I wanted, so I ordered the cookware from Caraway's web site. So far, I like their cookware.

I love the mission and purpose of these pans.Pros:safer option for cooking.Different colors and sizes available.Cons:The price is a bit high. The care of the pan is a bit more complex as I find that things do stick . I can not figure out why sometimes things stick and others they don’t.Washing them the becomes difficult.I highly encourage reading the instruction. Even when I followed cleaning instructions I find that not everything some off.The warranty isn’t all that great because it doesn’t cover when pans do not function as expected.I have many caraway products (pots & bakeware) and experince this only with these pans.

Rip off. Do yourself a favor and go cast iron or stainless steel.
27 June 2024

Absolutely not worth the money. I bought my first non stick set, and I'll be the first to admit I did not properly care for them. I used the wrong cleaning utensils and was cooking at way to high of temperatures. So they lost their non stick coating fairly quickly. So, I bought some back ups, and was very diligent about caring for these the proper way and following Caraway's instructions. The non stick coating lasted about 10 to 12 months...now everything sticks. For the price, these are not remotely worth it. I will definitely be going cast iron or stainless steel from now on.

So Disappointed
3 June 2024

I have had this frying pan for six months. It is now unusable. I wanted this pan to work as I heard so many great things and even my mother recommended it. The pan is scorched all over, the cooking surface is no longer non stick. Tried to cook eggs with butter and they still stick. And yes, I followed every care instructions to the letter. I let the pan preheat, then oil, allowed to cool completely before rinsing off, never used any abrasive utensils or cleaning methods. So disappointed with this pan. Honestly the $20 Walmart pan lasted longer and worked better. I feel like I either did something to ruin this pan (which I honestly can’t fathom because I have followed every instruction) or I got a bad pan to begin with. Just a waste of money at this point. The worst pan I’ve owned

I never spent $95 on a pan before but this time, I wanted to treat myself. Initially, the pan was incredible. I barely used any oil and all the foods were gliding on the beautiful coating. Cleaning it was a breeze, too! I was looking forward to getting the rest of their cookware so it’s all assorted and looking good in my kitchen. But unfortunately in less than 6 months, the quality of the coating degraded very fast. So much that now, even with A LOT of oil, everything sticks so much!
