I got this for my second helmet, and come to find out if it's a half helmet I have to purchase a whole nother kit and most of both of them are trash. For plastic. I got taken. Not by the dealer by the manufacturer.

I have 2 units on 3 helmets with the extra helmet kit. The call quality and sound are comparable to units double and triple the price. I have recommended to anyone who rides alot.

Got this to install on my Rpha 90 Carbon. Fits easy and install took about 30 minutes. The helmet has a mic slot a little too small for the actual cardo mic, but the included velcro sticker can be trimmed to fit and the mic squishes in pretty easily. Not much to say about JBL sound. I haven't had the opportunity to try a unit without good speakers, but they sound great even at highway speeds.Biggest complaint is how flipping expensive it is. $120 just for a spare set of speakers and mounting plastics/stickers? Jesus.I do wish bluetooth units switched from 3.5mm audio jacks to something a little less bulky. At first I thought I had to tuck that mass of wire somewhere, but just putting it right underneath the cheekpads sloppily worked better than tidying up. ... MoreGot this to install on my Rpha 90 Carbon. Great quality all around

No complaints it's great! - I was advised to buy the CARDO over competing brand and they were right. Easy to install not complicated, sound is fantastic - I bought this kit so that I can wire both of my helmets with CARDO easily. And the convenience and savings of not having to buy a whole second unit is greatly appreciated.

Nearly half the price of the entire Cardo BT communicator!
17 July 2023

The original unit sent to me was defective. Contacted RevZilla and they promptly sent a replacement unit. The replacement unit works fine. Chief complaint is the cost of this item. Not sure RevZilla has any control over that, but this bad boy is expensive. Since this item is useless w/o the accompanying Cardo unit it's hard to items below.

Review of 2nd Helmet JBL Kit Freecom-X/Spirit
23 July 2023

Recently bought the Cardo Freecom x4 Duo for me and the wife as pillion after years using the excellent but dated Autocomm wired unit, and not being able to face another bike install.Needless to say we have advanced about 30 years in technology and everything works. Went for the cheaper Freecom over a more expensive Bluetooth Matrix model as we mostly ride on our own and did not need the functionality much. The JBL speakers sound good (for an intercom) and having a 2nd helmet for commuting (mainly becuase it is too tight for longer trips I discovered) I needed a 2nd headset to clip the cardo into. So got the 2nd Helmet JBL (Freecom-x/Spirit). Works the same as the headset in the X4 pack. Be aware there is a cheaper set by Cardo that will work but that set does not ... MoreRecently bought the Cardo Freecom x4 Duo for me and the wife as pillion after years using the excellent but dated Autocomm wired unit, and not being able to face another bike install.Needless to say we have advanced about 30 years in technology and everything works.
