It's a ideal little lunch pail for my use. However, we have had it out in our back yard airing it out for three weeks now and the manufacturing oder is still there, just now starting to lessen. It's the outside of the item that is retaining the odor. Could this be that there is a water repellent chemical added to the outside?Thank you for your inquiry.

It's a great lunchbox! It's sturdy and fits a lot, which is great. I often pack my breakfast, lunch, and a snack each day, and this has a great amount of space for that. I do like the top pocket too, it's great for chips and things you don't want to get smooshed. The only thing I'd change would be to make the strap a smidge longer. I like to wear my lunchbox as a crossbody when I take public transit. I can still get away with it as I'm 5'2, but you might not be able to do so if you're taller.

This is well-made and very functional. The top compartment is separate from the main space and can be used for a variety of things including food. There is a front compartment as well which I use to place frozen gel packs. A great looking and easy to carry cooler.

Great lunch box. My son is a lifeguard and needs to stay in the tower all day. This cooler bag holds enough food for an 8 hour+ shift. With 2 ice packs everything stays cold all day. He likes the carrying strap because his hands are full of his other gear. We've already recommended it to other lifeguards he's friends with.
WELL made ; fits 12 cans of soda or water bottles if you use it for a cooler or great for fitting meal prep lunch containers... with aw side pocket for utensils and napkins... and top compartment if you wanna store chips, crackers, and bread..etc... awesome for everyday or the ranch or fishing...
The Carhartt Navy Deluxe Lunch Cooler is so spacious and sturdy! I am able to fit 3 flat takeout containers in the main compartment, and the top compartment was surprisingly the perfect size for some cucumbers, carrots, and celery. A couple things that would make this even better would be adjustable or removable should strap, and if Merchology embroidered the logo larger. We used the same logo as our vests from Merchology last year, but the logo did not look as good and was a bit harder to read. Also, I have still not received any response to my call or emails regarding Merch Perk Moleskin notebook, but I am hoping it arrives soon!
Bought this lunch bag for my 10 year old son to take to school. It is very large for his little body--but he will grow into it! It worked perfectly for him last year. Due to Covid there were no water fountains available. We were able to put a few water bottles and juice pouches in with his lunch. It has held up great. It has rolled around the car and has been smooshed into his locker. The fabric and zipper are very durable. I am going to be buying another one for my other son to take to job sites with him.
I really like my lunchbox so far. I read reviews saying that it is "too small", but I think it's the perfect size. I can fit my sandwich, a big apple, chobani yogurt cup, some snacks, and a microwaveable ramen in the main compartment alone. I keep napkins and silverware in the front pocket and drinks/icepacks in the top compartment. The construction is nice. It's a "soft shell" but it holds it's shape well. My only complaint is that the carry strap is not adjustable or removable. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.
I got this lunch bag in a recent Christmas party gift exchange and it has proven to be great. It is well built (Carhartt, so no surprise there) and ample room for anything I want to bring for lunch. The only thing I would change is the shoulder strap - I wish it were removable, like with d-rings or something. So, since I didn't want the shoulder strap, I simply cut them off and melted the cut ends with a match.
I would but this cooler again. I was able to fit 2 20 bottles of power aide in the upper part ( frozen) and that helped keep the lower part cooler. I the bottome I was able to put a sandwich, small pudding cup,and snacks plus another small container in the bottom part. Very roomy. I liked the front pocket for keys silverware. Easy to clean and looks nice.
