The first thing that I pick up on when I smell it is the patchouli. I LOVE fragrances with patchouli in them. I think that it adds something special to them. This perfume has a wonderful warm, kind of spicy floral scent to it that just works. I can also smell the vanilla in this scent and it's yummy! It has a pretty good range, you can smell it from a good distance. It has great staying power too, and lasts most of the day. This fragrance makes me feel beautiful when I wear it, ultra-feminine, and sophisticated. This is easily one of my more favorite fragrances that I've tried lately, which honestly surprised me. I really wasn't expecting much from this perfume because it was from Lancôme, a makeup/skincare retailer, not a perfumer. It smells fantastic though, and I really can't say enough good things about it! It's from the Warm Spicy Fragrance Family, and is the Warm Sweet Gourmand Scent Type. The Key Notes are: Iris, patchouli, and vanilla. This floral perfume entwines iris, patchouli and Arabian jasmine sambac with sweet notes of orange blossom, warm vanilla, and spun sugar. A modern interpretation of a warm floral, this long-lasting women's fragrance stands out with a twist of gourmand, unique to its vanilla perfume base. Everyone has different body chemistry as well, and as we all know body chemistry plays a huge part in how a fragrance smells and lasts on you as well. Longevity is wonderful. It has got quite strong scent, don’t need to use a lot, just one spray is sufficient for maximum effect. It lasts very long time, I apply in the morning and after immediate application it feels strong for few hours, than it becomes more softer and milder, and even next morning it still stays on the body. On the clothes it stays for several days and scent wears off very slowly compares to application onto skin. In my opinion it suits all seasons of the year either summer or winter, also it’s very festive scent. Yet it is not a sickeningly sweet scent- the vanilla that continues throughout is gentle and soft and the other notes ease the sweetness, making it very well balanced. It is not too sweet and the gourmand qualities are far from overpowering. This is the most delicate use of gourmand- made to increase the warmth of the scent, but not to overpower it. This scent blends with your skin to make it unique to you and does not simply sit on the surface. Yet this scent has staying power and it's wonderful to smell the multidimensional changes of the various notes over the hours. I cannot ever picture getting bored with this scent. It is complex and has such a unique composition of notes which are subtly detectable through the hours of wearing it, making this perfume completely different from any other perfume I've ever worn. If you are someone who notices the small but beautiful things in life, you will be able to detect the unique and subtle changes in the scent over the 10+ hours of wear you will get out of this perfume.
