I installed the Caroma toilets over 30 years ago and recently the seats started to look a tad yellowed and old so I looked for replacements, actually not expecting to find any after all that time. I was pleasantly surprised to find Bathroom Warehouse had them and in stock. BW service was excellent and they were a good price, arrived quickly, and were very well packed.

Easy to swap over, PLASTIC bolt and nut gets rid of that future problem when the steel ones rust and can never be removed. Soft close and germguard a necessity with 2 male adolescents whose aim ain't the best. Other reviews suggest seat moves; we had no problem at all (you need to make sure the bolt is the right way and tight - see instructions - if its inserted the wrong way I suspect movement will occur).

This is a decent seat if you don't want to go to the expense of a ceramic seat - I will be renovating sooner or later so didn't want to spend hundreds on a new seat. It's solid, stable and easy to install, even for a chick (me). I googled how to install it and there was a handy youtube video. No tools required.

I figured a $63 Caroma toilet seat would've a nice replacement for our old seat. Unfortunately after my husband installed it it was immediately obvious that the seat was totally warped sitting up almost an inch at the sides and impossible to sit on with the squeaking noise and uncomfortable feel. Very disappointing!
Simple to fit with all parts included. I bought the germ protect because I hoped for easier cleaning but still plenty of parts are inaccessible for cleaning so you have to be creative and persistent to avoid any build up when there are multiple boys in the house. We bought 2 and 1 already has a hairline crack at the front, and that’s within weeks of purchase. Jury is out on if they will last well.
Arrived today... delivery was prompt after order; but the seat itself is flimsy & not the same quality as another Caroma seat I bought in the past. My main gripe is the lightweight plastic; second is there are no rubber “bumpers” on the seat base, so the seat hits directly on to the porcelain. Finally, the seat base is completely encased in the lid, so it’s tricky to open *just* the lid without touching the seat. Very disappointed - I expected better from the brand, for the price paid. Too inconvenient for me to return it, so will have to live with it until it breaks. (I suspect this won’t be too far in the future.)
I was pretty apprehensive of this model as I am particular about my positioning for the sake of proper colonic flow. However, on use of the product, my sphincteric function applauded as loudly as my hands. This seat is truly a triumph for those concerned for proper care of their bowels.
Cheap and breaks easily. It’s the third seat I’ve replaced as there are no alternatives. I’ve searched online but found no other better quality options to fit the low quality toilets in my house.If I had the money I would replace the cheap toilets, cisterns and seats with higher quality ones that look better and cost less in the long term.
I was tossing up between this and Haron soft close white polypropene (reviews said latter was more sturdy but cleaning between hinges was raised as a concern and soft close was disadvantage for me as i want to close the lid while flushing). I bought both and chose to install this first. It was too easy to install (2 mins), looks very good, never mind it is very light. Protrudes at front a few millimeters but germguard etc sounds impressive. Will return the other one
Quite an easy installation coming from a basic DIYer. Very handy being able to adjust how far forward or back the seat sits as some don't fully cover the actual toilet. Seat doesn't feel loose once tightened in which seems to be common feedback on other models. The finish feels more 'premium' due to the contours and shine of the plastic, versus a $20-30 seat. This seat itself is definitely thinner than the average one, so probably not the best for younger children. This doesn't have a 'soft close' which some cheaper seats do.
