I installed this unit today with minimal fuss after considering a complete toilet suite purchase. Very happy with the ease of install and the final result. Ivory isn’t everyone’s first choice and if you are fortunate enough to have 3 Ivory Caroma toilet sets like I do as well as matching basins and baths I can say that this is well worth the money. Don’t be distracted by cheaper full toilet suites unless you intend to remodel your entire bathroom, en-suite and toilet.

We purchased this cistern to replace our old existing Caroma Cistern from some 25 years back; absolutely brilliant, as the mounting holes/complete installation proved to be a simple swap out. This new Cistern has a much improved dual flush mechanism and fill/float valve, although one has to hold down either button for the complete flush cycle. 10 out of 10 in our instance.

Simple to install, replacing a 15+ year old ceramic version of the same brand. I had to drill 3 new screw mount points in the wall as they didnt line up with the mounting of the old Caroma cistern but that only took a few minutes. I also had to swap the water inlet from the right to the left at the base, but that was also easy. The rest was childsplay for someone like me with no skills other than watching a few youtube videos.

Just install it for two days. The dimension for installation is a error to install the fixing screws. So I need to redrill three holes on the tiles again. Look good., easy to install, mechanism inlet and outlet valve is not bad and not as good quality as my old one from fowler. Extra low cistern is suitable for my case. Please check if yours are mid or extra low before buying. I dont believe this one will last 20 years.
So far so good. Almost an exact replacement for my older Caroma. Needed very little adjustment to fit perfectly
Very pleased with this purchase. The screw holes and fittings were compatable with a 30-40 year old caroma cistern being replaced. The advertised dimenstions were a bit concerning, but in relatity 500Wx400Hx130D is closer. Also easy to adjust to a 9L/4.5L and set the water line.
Product is marketed as a replacement for older cisterns. Be aware though that even though the "footprint" of the cistern is much the same as older ones, older ones were usually mounted quite high on wall and the suite a bit further out from the wall. So the "flush pipe" if you mount the cistern in the original spot is too short in height and probably reach. And there doesn`t seem to be a longer/higher flush pipe to fit, even to purchase separately. Fortunately my old one fitted with mm,s to spare. So the flush pipe will almost certainly be useless. Purchased and fitted this today due to believing that the wall mounting holes would be in the same place as the Caroma slimline that I was replacing. Unfortunately they were not, so the only advantage in purchasing this brand/model was that I was able to use the old bridging/connecting piece, instead of cutting the new one down to size with a hacksaw. The unit itself works fine and was a relatively easy install considering this is the first time that I have replaced a cistern. Had I known that the holes would be in a different location to the previous Caroma cistern, I would have purchased one of the alternatives for less than half the price. I would rate this 4 stars, but the price knocks it down to 3 stars. Hopefully this lasts a long time without issue.
After mucking around trying to replace leaking system part found this system which is slightly wider than my original. A straight swap old for new and works as it should, bonus came with a new seat too. Very happy
I wasted time with repairing the old cistern. Bought an ivory one to replace it. So good I bought a white one for the other toilet even though it was working. $400 to get both tiny rooms looking and working better. That’s good value.
