It is almost a great little watch. The only real downfalls are the light is not good at all. That is understandable because this is on the same platform of the 80's., not this actual watch, but the module. The other downfall is the case is plastic made in China, unlike the original that was actual metal! I dropped a half star for the poor light. The other 1 1/2 stars dropped was for the case not being metal. If it weren't for those things this would be 5 stars. I do think the f91 is a better watch because the case is plastic with no plating to come off, and cheaper too! This watch does look better though, at least until you chip or scratch the plating and show the plastic underneath. I will not say it is a bad watch, but I can't exactly recommend this watch due to ... MoreIt is almost a great little watch. The only real downfalls are the light is not good at all. I will not say it is a bad watch, but I can't exactly recommend this watch due to the chrome plated plastic case. Overall, other than the plated plastic case, it is a good watch. The original was much better though, due to it's metal case. I guess you can tell the nonmetal case is a real disappointment. DAMN, do I wish this were a metal case! After reading this review, if you still want this watch, then buy it. Well folks, this is my honest review.

Hi there,I am happy with the wristwatch performance. Particularly good so far.I am not happy with the clap. It is not very secure. It is not doing the job that it is supposed to do. It has come undone a couple of times and I lost the watch in my own house. I was lucky in that respect. I could have lost it in the street. I did not notice when the clasp came undone. I am going to see a watchmaker to ask him to put a more secure band in my watch. I do not like the idea of losing my watch in the street.Regards,John Rey

The A158 and F105 are the only two that I wear. I would wear the F91 but the hooded lugs just don't look right. I know that's not a popular opinion but it just doesn't. Great watches though, all of them.
I really only wanted a watch that looked good enough for daily wear and was easy to read. I don't really use the alarm feature, so I can't comment on that. With those limitations here is the Good: The watch looks nice and simple. (It won't scream "rich" if that is what you are after, but it is clean cut and has elegant simplicity.) The contrast of the LCD against the background is good for my old eyes and the time display is large enough I can read without my reading glasses. It is easy to set (I could figure it out without the instructions). The band is large enough for a big man's wrist, but easily adjustable at home to my small wrist. The Bad, for me, is that the light for night viewing doesn't illuminate the entire time area making it hard for me to read at ... MoreI really only wanted a watch that looked good enough for daily wear and was easy to read. The things I like about the watch:1.The size. It is perfect, not too big and not too small.2. The straps. no hassle in adjusting the grip since the clasp closure can be adjusted. Unlike the typical bracelets that you really need to remove some parts of it until the fit is acceptable for you.3. The alarm tone. It is also loud enough that it could wake me up from sleeping.Things I don't like:1. The button. You need to press hard for it to function. Though you barely press it unless you frequently set the alarm.2. The light function. The light only works while press and holding the button. thought the light keeps for few second after pressing the button but it is not the case. I own over a dozen watches including 3 Rolexes and several classic vintage watches from the early/mid 1900's. I bought this watch to wear when traveling to places I might not feel comfortable wearing an expensive watch and guess what? I really like it. It's light weight, low profile, comfortable on the wrist, and quite stylish in a retro sort of way. Nice enough to wear for casual or dress. The price is astonishingly reasonable and it's a great value for the money.
This no bling simplistic style brings vack memories from my childhood where digital watches started emerging. This is pretty much the style and type of watch my dad bought and used for years! The watch is on the smaller size and compared to todays fashion many will expect to receive a larger watch. Simple and few but very useful features make the watch an easy eceryday pick! The led light is on the side of the screen so it will not light the whole screen, making it a bit hard to read the time in pitch black darkness, but you'll manage to when bot looking too far away. For anyone looking for a simple and classic style digital watch without all the newest bells and whistles, this is a no brainer. I know with all these new standards and brainwashing dogma that a watch must hang off your wrist and weight a ton so this may not be everyone’s cup of tea. However for people like myself it’s a nice little timepiece with a history. This is it the original counterpart for the legendary F91w. This digital is very light and minimal, it’s functionality is strictly limited on only what’s important. Time and day date, alarm with hourly chime and a basic stopwatch 59’59’ capacity. Sure to please all you retroheads
got this to replace my old broken wristwatch. i wanted something simple and serviceable. this is it. fully adjustable, the clasp can be easily unlocked with a small prying tool and you can adjust the band size by sliding it over to the next "latching" section (up or down, according to your wrist size). don't think it said on the paperwork, but it's not a terribly complicated procedure (minimal force is required, if there's too much resistance on the clasp, slide it over a tiny bit further- be careful to not break it, they're just thin pieces of metal after all). after all that, it fits nice and i forget it's there, it's so lightweight and nondescript. has that neat retro look. the green led thing that let's you read the time in the dark is kinda wimpy (light emits ... Moregot this to replace my old broken wristwatch. i wanted something simple and serviceable. this is it. fully adjustable, the clasp can be easily unlocked with a small prying tool and you can adjust the band size by sliding it over to the next "latching" section (up or down, according to your wrist size). don't think it said on the paperwork, but it's not a terribly complicated procedure (minimal force is required, if there's too much resistance on the clasp, slide it over a tiny bit further- be careful to not break it, they're just thin pieces of metal after all). after all that, it fits nice and i forget it's there, it's so lightweight and nondescript. has that neat retro look. the green led thing that let's you read the time in the dark is kinda wimpy (light emits from on the left side), but it works. got some compliments on it. also was told it looks like a cheap ladies' watch. whatever, i like it.
