Overall good The display is great easy to navigate, all instrument sounds are awesome.Couple of disappointments, there is exercise music built in but no sheet music for it. There is sheet music for the practice songs but not the exercises to learn and practice hands and fingers. The iPhone app will not connect tried multiple things and followed instructions to the letter, no good. Recording is not obvious and I still can’t figure it out.Overall I still happy, I’m sure I’ll figure out recording

Versatile. Great for solo practice with built-in speakers and metronome/drum machine or connected to larger speakers for use in a group setting.

Great keyboard with 600 voices

This keyboard has much to offer with 600 voices this keyboard can keep the creative musician busy for hours. The keyboard itself looks sleek and not busy with numerous knobs. It has a built-in screenwhich is just the right size. The only thing I wish was better was the springy feel of the keys but this seems to be a common feel with most keyboards in this price range so can't really complain as the other good things make up for it. Love its portability too.

Loving this keyboard!

Really enjoying this keyboard. It wasn't the item I went to the shop to test, but much preferred the feel and some of the controls over the equivalent Yamaha (whose keys felt cheaper and were really shiny). It's the first time I have played a keyboard with reduced keys which I didn't think would be an issue, but is when I play Moonlight sonata - but the "shift octave" function is great to manage that.

Not just for beginners; a great home instrument and value.

I wanted a small arranger that I could just put on the desktop to play from time to time. I have a complete DAW with tons of plug-in instruments, but this is just great for turning on, finding a tone, a rhythm, and jamming. It's fun and honestly, unless you need something sturdy to gig with, with pro sounds, or need a weighted keyboard, this instrument--and it's a real instrument, not a toy--will pretty much fill your needs.

Really Cool Casio

This little 61 key keyboard is awesome! My wife uses it to practice and as well to play at a little outings with our Christian music band. It is not quite the 88 weighted key Kurzweil keyboard she also has at home, but it is fantastically light, portable, and has great, great sounds. The only complaints are: I don't currently know if the unit has a reverb setting, transposing is easy but could be easier with a separate transpose up and down key. An awesome feature is the moving octaves up or down 3 positions at the push of a button - this is just a great thing cause some sounds may compete with the bass guitar too much and this can sometimes be managed by changing the octave setting alone. The little hand grip at the top is just way too convenient. Always carry ... MoreThis little 61 key keyboard is awesome! The little hand grip at the top is just way too convenient. Always carry extra AA batteries when powering with batteries - AA's just don't have the long lasting juice that D batteries offer. Touch sensitivity can be adjusted etc, etc. If you can live without a full length keyboard and without weighted keys, then this is the portable for the money. Heck even the little speakers have bass reflex - a very decent sound. Our old Radioshack 61 key keyboard was awesome too and had superior but much larger speakers therefore the need for D cell batteries was required. Can't wait for the bluetooth adapter to come in so we can drop the cord. There is not a 1/4" stereo out, only a 3.5 mm stereo out so we have adapter for that, just wish it included a sturdy 1/4" stereo out because that is sturdy and we are a little old school, but bluetooth is in our near future. More music and/or noise you can stand when coupled with a Peavey KB2 amp!

Sam Ash: Professional; very responsive to questions and follow-up service; friendly.Product: For the money, a nice portable keyboard. The market is flooded with keyboards at this price point. Do your research. But I don't think you will be disappointed with the CT-S400.

very portable and well worth the money

i would pay twice the price if Casio were to equip this with their weighted keybed found on their more expensive models -- but, as a very portable and great-sounding keyboard, you can't go wrong with this CT-S400 model. Program in a few custom mixes (layer & splits) and it becomes a very inspiring keyboard. Sounds great through the builtin speakers and sounds really good through an external amplifier -- the pianos in this are very realistic. Go into settings and you can really finetune your sound, though i do wish the volume of the bass sounds (for split settings) were capable of more volume, which is a very common problem with most keyboards i have owned. Overall, i would rate this keyboard at about 4.5 out of 5
