I bought this watch 5 years ago when I was in need of a cheap watch for my job as an industrial painter. For $32.75 I wasn’t expecting much. Now it turns out it was a pretty good deal. In 5 years this poor watch has not only been subjected to dangerous chemicals in my job as a painter, but also to gasoline, motor oil, hydraulic fluid, antifreeze, battery acid, been subjected to electric shock, both ends of the thermometer with extreme temperatures, welding, and just about any other abuse a factory worker/ car mechanic can throw at it. It is by far the most comfortable watch to wear on the wrist I’ve ever owned- and I’ve owned several. It still sports the original battery as well as burn marks from the paint chemicals I used to deal with. The wrist band is finally ... If you need an insanely durable watch and don’t have much coin to throw at it. This is your watch.

I give a little extra weight to long-ownership reviews of products so thought I would give my two cents here. Bought this watch over eight years ago as an honest-to-God impulse buy at my local Walmart. In the last eight years, I've subjected this watch to a very tough torture test. Heavy, day in and day out submersion into ocean water as a worked as a beach lifeguard in college, skydiving multiple times, several week-long hiking trips, extensive rock climbing, sub-zero conditions... I mean I could go on and on. This watch has been on my wrist in so many extreme conditions.. The fact it not only still works (with original battery), but has kept its look over this time surprises me. Not all well-made watches are hundreds of dollars. Just recently the movable overstrap ... Just recently the movable overstrap that keeps the excess strap in place is starting to slowly rip, but I can just buy a new strap.I cannot recommend this product enough. This watch has been through everything with me and is responsible for the seemingly permanent watch tan on my wrist. I'll keep wearing mine until finally gives out, then I'll sure as heck buy another one.

This replaces a Casio Atomic watch. It is much thinner, lighter, and simpler. These are three enormous advantages. The Atomic watch unpredictably reset itself to January 1, repeatedly. This was a nuisance. I used the Atomic watch for several years and after initial love, the unreliability led me to hate it. It was also unusually complex, but I eventually learned the complexity, but it was always a nuisance anyway. This watch just works. It is easy to see everything on its face. I prefer it to my far more costly analog watches with date showing because their date is is annoyingly small. Extra weight hinders my guitar playing and so does extra thickness. This is the lightest of all my watches and one of the thinnest. I shopped carefully and did not find another watch ... MoreThis replaces a Casio Atomic watch. Some people and ethnic groups judge others by the quality of their watch and clothes, believe it or not. In an Asian country I visited a group of doctors I lectured to my plastic digital watch evoked their scorn. I replied "but it's a Fossil" and they seemed less unhappy. A Casio gives me no comeback line.

This model of Casio 3232,DW-9052. has MORE REPEAT BUYERS then any other Casio. Bang for the buck it is used by Security /Law enforcement, and Military. The outer Lens on this G Shock can end up getting scratched badly by rocks, debris and General ware, but the interior LCD stays in "flawless perfect shape." Sure you can pay $400 and $500 for a BETTER WATCH!! But for $80 to $100 New YOU CAN NOT BEAT THIS WATCH!! I will continue to buy this Model of Casio!! I give it five stars and it is VERY affordable!
I purchased this watch because it has atomic timekeeping. I already own 2 of the G9300 non atomic Mudman G-Shocks and I wanted to get the atomic version (GW9300) of this particular watch. I purchased one of this particular watch and I like it so much that I ordered a 2nd watch to have as a back up just in case the 1st one ever gets damaged, destroyed, lost or stolen. I highly recommend the atomic version (the GW9300). It's a very beautiful watch. This watch has many features on it. It's very comfortable to wear and it has a nice presence on the wrist. The G-Shocks last many years.
This watch has lasted on my industrial mechanic wrist for 11 years. One of my sons gave it to me as a gift when he was in middle school. I replaced the broken fastener with an o-ring 1 year ago. The band started breaking last week, so I'm trying to decide if I should replace the band or the whole watch. Runs fast by about a minute after a year. This watch has had a couple doors slammed on it, been in contact with chemicals, washed with soap almost every day, banged by wrenches and various other tools. I wear it when I do plumbing, machining, heavy lifting, automotive work, grinding, etc. You can see a little bit of marine epoxy just to the upper left of the "G" on the worn "G-SHOCK" logo.I love this @#%^! watch! The photo wouldn't upload, though...
This watch is perfect for me. I have standard/small-ish hands and I really hate large watch faces. The size chart was true to size! Its perfect and looks proportional on me! I LOVE THIS WATCH! I read other reviews that said the time font was small, and honestly if you have 20/20 vision- you’ll be able to see the time just fine. The watch band length was a good size, doesnt leave a huge tail of extra. Easy to set the time, alarm etc. DOES NOT vibrate but I’m ok with that. For the price and quality, this is an amazing deal. It arrived on time. Buy it- you will not regret it.
Been wearing G-Shock watches for 30 years they never disappoint even in the harsh world of construction, swimming, boating, skiing. The Illuminator has some nice features, hourly chime, daily alarm that's loud enough to wake me up, date, stopwatch and many other features. I usually average about 7-8 years per watch with one band replacement. After that the watch still works but it's almost cheaper to buy a new watch with the pricing at Walmart than replace another band and battery.
I was looking for the limited edition camouflage version of this watch with no success. I wound up buying the all black version and switched out the black band to a brown Casio replacement band. It looks awesome, is comfortable, functional and extremely durable. Nice watch!
As part of Casio's classic line, this is not an actual 80s or 90s model like some of the classic models, but it is modeled after the old AW21U World Time watch. Like the older model, it has the classic yellow and green screen (which is much more viewable through polarized sunglasses than Casio classic models with a silver LCD screen, especially if you wear it on your left wrist), half-circle world map, and watch hands in the center, though they are now small LCD hands instead of actual motorized hands. The clock is a bit small and can be hard to read. Also, it's not quite as comfortable as square models such as the AE1200W (exact same functions, just different shape and screen layout), and the "World Time" and "Illuminator" silkscreens can wear off easily.
