The watch is comfortable. It looks amazing fully packed with functions. However here are some things I don't like. The band doesn't have a raised part on the end to keep the keeper in place. This makes the band end become loose. The center light button is plastic not metal. The seconds hand should be red in color. The dial on the left of the watch should be gold like the other two models (green and red) to match the gold metal around the light button.. the lcd is greenish blue not black with beige characters as is shown in all the pictures on the casio website. Other than that it still is a great looking watch that feels nice on the wrist.

Fantastic design. Smaller, more egomaniac and more wearable than the old mud master 1000 which was quite large. The light is a lot better and the ability to check battery level using one button and then also use the iPhone app to ensure settings are correct is great. Altimeter was accurate when climbing Munro’s. Calibration is easy before each use pulling crown out and adjusting in alt mode. I have 6 G-SHOCKs including MRG and MTG and this is my favourite

The altitude doe not work that well. The watch is not intuitive and has given me the wrong date and time even when in sync to my phone. I travel a lot across time zones. This is made for die hard hikers who want to know how far they have walked. I am a boater and diver so I would rather see a depth gauge and tidal information as well as temp and barr. I still cant figure out how the sunrise and sunset feature works. It would also be great if they had a watch with navigable charts but even garmin does not make one of these. just my thoughts for what they are worth

The watch feels heavy and premium with good materials; the buttons are good; the crystal is sapphire. It has the same cool functions as a rangeman such as barometer, compass, sun rise and set times. It's easy to see the time with the big lumed-uo hands. The problems are all basically related to the digital screen. It's small and negative display and consequently hard to read. If you actually want to use ABC functions and even normal digital watch features like stopwatch and timer then get a rangeman.

Waited ages for this to come back into stock to purchase. It is a very nice watch with Bluetooth connectivity to make changes very easy for date, time, world time etc.I was however disappointed that the watch face is smaller than the previous model, and doesn't look as rugged.There are no dimensions in the specification either, whether this is on purpose or not, I don't know.The Casio site pictures makes them out to be the same size as previous model, but sadly not.Would have been 5 stars otherwise.
Hi Guys,I'm a big fan of the mudmaster series. I own the GWG-1000-1A3 and the GWG-2000-1A5. Love them both. The GWG-1000 had trouble in low light conditions, but had fabulous lume. The 2000 fixed that. I was looking forward to the B1000 model, but it is not for me. First, I use the previous models for travel. I'm not a survivalist. However, I do like the tough solar being a watch I can always count on not needing a battery and these watches are so tough, I can always count on them working. The B1000 was much smaller, including the digital display, so it was hard for me to read. I really also liked the 3 and 9 arabic numerals on the previous editions. I really like the mud master as a stand alone unit, the phone connectivity is not a selling feature as if I'm really in extreme weather, the last thing I want to do is pull out my phone. In summary, I would rather see a re-issue of the "Maharishi" version of the 1000 or an another special edition of the 2000. The B1000 is actually a step back.Cheers.
