Casio Privia PX-S3100 88 Key Digital Piano

Unfortunately I was disappointed with this product and the service offered by Rockshop. Such as:- The only way I can add effects (reverb, chorus, etc) is by using the Music Space phone App. That means that if I don't have my phone, I have to use the product with its bad raw sounds.- None of the settings I do with the app stay saved after I turn off the digital piano. That includes touch sensitivity settings, sound customizations, etc. I have to re-do it every single time.- The bluetooth it very unstable, keeps of disconnecting often when I am using backing tracks to play along with.- You can't adjust the split on a specific key range. That makes it hard to use this instrument to teach lessons in person.- The sounds were a bit disappointing to my taste, definitely below what I'd expect from a $1400 instrument. I was able to make it better by adjusting the effects, but then if I turn the keyboard off, I lose it all. Again, this is the kind of stuff I'd expect in a $300 dollar keyboard, not in this $1400 digital piano.After I finally tested it all, I realized I made a mistake by choosing this product. I would much rather have bought the PX-S3100 version of it, which is just 200 dollars more expensive but supposedly fixes all these issues.I have reached out to Rockshop again asking if there's a chance I can return it and replace it by the PX-S3100 version (by paying the difference, of course), but they said it's not possible because it wasn't in the 7-day-return-policy anymore, which is quite frustrating considering it took 16 days just for me to receive the full product (as opposed to 2 days, as per rockshop website!).Now the only option I have left is to try to sell it on trade me (for much less that what I've paid for, losing money), and then buying a new and better product. I will NOT buy it at Rockshop ever again, after all this hassle.

Great digital piano, upgraded from ≈£150 keyboard and difference is huge. Wide variety of voices, layering, surround sound (including Sydney Opera House), 192 notes polyphony, good choice of outputs, two headphone ports. Pleasant textured keys. And in an emergency it can be run on batteries (6x AA)(absolutely love it).Another options was Yamaha P-145 and Roland FP-10. Although it doesn't have such key mechanism as Roland or Yamaha's speaker's system. In terms of polyphony it's way ahead of the other two.

A good solid digital piano with pretty good feel/action

I will start off by saying that I am not a good piano/keyboard player, though I have worked on designing such instruments earlier in my career and am trying to get better at playing them. This action feels quite natural for piano players, and the instrument voice options are quite well done and cover alot of performance applications. I've only had it a few weeks, but am really enjoying playing it. I wish that some of the sound artifacts, like simulated key/bumper noise, could be adjusted or turned off. Using this in a home office, I wish that the stereo speaker system on it were just a little more powerful/had more volume. It has several features, like duet mode and layering which are handy for beginners, too.It is very attractively styled, and the quality of materials and surface feel of the keys seems quite nice, especially at this price point. Because of the slimness and minimalistic design there isn't room for a small LCD that could help guide you with some of the voicing & parameter adjustments - you have to resort to the now-common super-cheap paper instruction sheet to guide you through which note key selects what voice or parameter to change. I wish they provided a laminated card or something better than the 12-way folded instruction large sheet/manual - though this is the way many products are going now. The instrument itself is quite nice and should help me improve my playing skills and also work well for other band members who can play it better than I. I hope to keep this instrument a long time and would recommend it.

Beautiful casio keyboard

I got this keyboard for my husband who records music and this is a great setup. The weighted keys feel realistic with textured key tops. The 88 keys give you the full range of the instrument. The sound options and hookups to connect to devices like a tablet to learn to play or to your computer to record or amplify. We are loving this beautiful Casio in white. It is sleek and modern with the classic Casio sound.

For the price, it sound sampling quality is very good (for the piano sounds) and the hammer action is pleasant. It doesn't have the same feel as an acousitc piano, but it is close enough. It has great, gradual velocity sensitivity and scaled weights. The keys are not too noisy either. The instrument itself looks really beautiful, can run on batteries for a long time and is very portable but sturdy at the same time. The only problem is that the Casio app responds slowly sometimes, but it has great learning features besides other fun stuff. The surround sounds are really fun. For the discounted price it is a no brainer buy. But it worth it for the full price, too. Most Excellent Digital Piano

The Casio PX-S1100 Privia Digital Piano is most excellent. It does not occupy much space. It is not very heavy. It sounds better than an acoustic piano. The keys feel better than an acoustic piano. There are more tones or sounds than just an acoustic piano. I can connect it to my computer and to my DAW. I have the red one. I highly recommend this Casio digital piano.

Phenomenal Digital Piano for the Price

I bought this as a backup piano since my upright is thunderous and I can't practice at night. I didn't need 700 tones and 200 beat tracks. I just wanted a default grand piano that sounded good, and they nailed it! It sounds and feels like an acoustic piano. I read some negative reviews about the PX-S1100 having black keys that were slightly lighter (GASP!) than the white keys. I've been playing the piano for 35+ years, and I can't feel the difference. Sure, it's not identical to my acoustic piano, but it's about as close as could be. I have no problem switching between the two of them. The keys feel so realistic. The hammer action is topnotch. This piano also comes with Bluetooth which makes it super easy to control through my iPhone. On that note, if I had one negative thing to say, it would be that the onboard controls might be too minimal for some folks. It's really meant to be controlled through a phone. But I'm fine with that because it makes for a sleek, uncluttered design--like what Apple might build if they made keyboards. If you're on the fence, don't overthink it. You get a lot of piano for the price. It's perfect for practicing. It feels realistic. The sound is superb. It's easy to use. It looks awesome. My only regret is not buying something like this decades ago! (One caveat: I'm only reviewing this as someone who plays on it at home when I don't want to disturb the family; I can't vouch for it's portability or stage-worthiness.)

Review of Casio Privia PX-S1100 Ultra Slim & Compact Stage Piano in White

Thoroughly happy with this piano. As a beginner it sounds good and the action feels great to me. Easy to use and the app appears to work well. Seems well built. Bought the white one and seems to hide the fingerprints well on the glossy surface. This was part of the stand and headphones bundle. Headphones are wireless and seem good quality. Have to use them wired in as piano doesn’t appear to support wireless connection despite Bluetooth. Overall very happy and Andertons delivery was as quick, reliable and informed as always.

Very nice piano!

This is a sleek looking piano. The grand piano is great and so are the other sounds but i wish it had the electric bass sound as the split sound instead of the acoustic bass but it's no big deal. I bought it for the piano and the e piano sounds. I love the layout with just the power on and volume knob that's visible while the other functions lights up. The keys feels great for my taste and it's wonderful for playing any type of music. Love the stereo L/R outputs instead of just the headphone output to use with an amp or PA system plus you can use the 3 pedal option or the damper pedal (the one that comes with it is a plastic box pedal).
