Castelli included as much technology as possible to improve performance when they created the Castelli Competizione Bib-short, a fast, comfortable and affordable pair of bib-shorts. The main Vortex fabric, that is also used in Castelli’s top end Aero Race bib-short, is textured so air flows smoothly over the shorts. The mild compression keeps shorts from creasing while allowing freedom to move legs. The Vortex fabric is also smooth against skin, a feature that ensures comfort. The GIRO4 leg gripper has flat, wide silicone grippers that keep the shorts comfortably in place. On the inside of the legs, the Affinity Pro Lycra fabric is abrasion resistant and fits next to skin. Because this stretchy, durable fabric is placed on the inner legs the shorts are aerodynamic, and they withstand any wear the saddle may have on the shorts as you pedal mile after mile. The shorts have flatlock seams which won’t rub against skin the way traditional stitching does. Castelli designers paid close attention to every detail when designing the Competizione Bib-short. The KISS Air² seat pad keeps you comfortable on endurance distances or competitive rides that require you to tuck down and ride fast. The seamless skin layer feels silky soft against skin and the padded portion between body and seat is multi-layered, so you have the right kind of padding in the right place. The porous construction of the padding stays dry to keep you comfortable as you sweat.
