Great bibs for a gravelride
Super impressed with these - comfortable, secure, and functional.
This is my first pair of nice bibs and I was impressed. I've been riding Terry Cycles shorts for years, and the padding in these bibs felt like an extra saddle. Absorbed so much road chatter and was very very comfortable. The sizing is unfortunate. I ordered the XL and they fit great, but my normal size is M-L in other areas of clothing. The cargo pocket is pretty nice, very secure.
I´m disappointed with this bib, the cargo pocket flaps are tight and not easy to use, super difficult to get things or food out during a gravel or mtb ride, worse for a race. The Pad, look confortable but the front side is not well done, always bothers me, is not confortable in the front, almost close to make a injure!. And the reason to buy it: drop-tail bib...careful doesn´t work well, the competitors bibs are much much better and well designed.. Really sad, because I had use a lot of Castelli bibs for mtb endurance races and never had a problem, but this model is not working well at least for gravel rides 40 miles or more. And now a days we deserve just designs with drop tail but well done!!!. Very confortable and perfect pockets on each side.
I love these shorts. They fit great and are super comfy. But, I cannot recommend them because the stitching on the chamois came undone after 3-4 months of use. This is my second pair of these shorts. I had the same thing happen to my first pair after about a year. I hoped it was a one off problem but it is not. If you know your way around a sewing machine you can fix the problem, but it shouldn’t come to that
