Love my new shorts but they run super small so definitely size up!! I'm usually a true medium but I bought a large and I'm so glad I did.

I read the reviews before ordering these shorts, and I am very happy with them! I usually wear women's small (size 4-6) but ordered a size medium and am very happy I did - they fit great. The material is light and stretchy and the padding very comfortable. The legs don't ride up and the waist band is narrow but comfortable.

Comfortable shorts, although entry level, these suit me better than the more expensive design and my go to shorts. Previous pair have lasted several years

After reading the previous reviews, I went to try these on in store before buying these shorts and they fit just like any other Castelli product. In fact, they fit more true to their size charts than usual. (Do not have to size up!)It could still be that the larger sizes fit on the smaller size, but I am about a size small and the size small fits perfectly, the mediums were a bit loose at the waist and perfect on the legs, and the extra smalls were tight to move in but I could still squeeze into them.Other comments:- They are between high-waisted and normal-waisted.- Not see-through upon bending and squatting.- They do not ride up into bum after squatting and moving around in them.- Snug fit in all positions and seems like it will stay put for a full day ... These shorts are as plain as they get.
These shorts are very good - they come up to the waist at the front (many higher-end ones don't) and are comfortable. My only negative comment is this: I take a UK size 12 - or size 10 if I'm in M&S or Next, yet I have to buy a size EXTRA LARGE in Castelli (and other cycle-wear makes), which is absurd. So basically - very good, but buy two sizes larger than you normally take.
I love these cycling shorts so much that I just ordered a 2nd pair. So far I've done 2 2.5-ish hour outdoor rides and 1 1-hour indoor ride in them and they felt great right off the bat. The padding is the perfect thickness/feel and in the Texas heat where I ride, I don't feel like I have on a soggy (and saggy) wet diaper afterwards. I really prefer the full surround leg grippers on these compared to the little grippy dots on another of my cycling shorts. The fabric on the front thigh area is thinner than my other cycling shorts but not in a see-through way. I actually prefer it for cooling purposes. My husband rode behind me for a bit and said the 2 stripes in the back were very visible and reflective as well. I'm 5'8" tall, 123 lbs., 35" hips, 27" waist and got ... They look incredibly tiny and you'll think they won't fit but somehow they do! They're compressive without you feeling like you're squished/sausage-like.
I sized up after reading the other reviews and it was a good thing that I did. I normally wear a small in Gore but ordered a medium and they were perfect. 5?8? 125 pounds. The chamois Is perfect for me. According to their size chart I should have ordered a small but the medium was perfect.
I am 5ft9, 135lbs, size 8, 30 inch waist. I ordered the medium and large online. The medium waist was more like an extra small and the legs felt tight. I could fit into the large but it felt tight on the waist and the legs were too baggy. The material on the back of the thighs scrunches up and is ill-fitting.
I love them! A nice material and very comfortable padding. When I first opened the package, they looked small! But I put them on and they really stretch and conform nicely. So I could have gone with the extra large, but the large work. I?m 5 feet tall, 135 pounds.
I bought this as a Xmas present for my wife. She is normally a small size but after reading the reviews I made the decision to buy a medium size. The shorts is still small for her. It fits ok until she gets on the bike, then it feels too tight. As she could only have a real feel for the shorts after trying it on the bike, she removed the tag and now can’t return the item. Very very disappointing as she doesn’t own any clothing that is a medium, never mind a large. If you are slim but have muscly legs this Brand might be a problem! The padding is thin and very good and comfortable.

The Castelli Prima Woman’s Short is an entry-level short with the same kind of comfort found in top level race shorts. The comfort starts with the woman’s specific KISS Air² seat pad that has been made more breathable. To increase breathability, Castelli added more “air” to the pad. Air dries sweat instantly and brings in cooling air so a woman won’t overheat. Castelli made the skin layer even softer which adds to how long a woman cyclist feels comfortable on a long ride. The new Pro Dry Soft fabric with a smooth matte finish cools the skin and dries instantly. Wear the Prima short alone in the summer and stay cool, or slip on leggings for cooler weather wear. Grip was woven into the fabric of the Giro³ elastic. By weaving the grip into the fabric, it keeps the shorts in place without pinching the skin. Rear reflective panels have been added to improve visibility on early morning or dusk training rides and races.
