It’s Castrol, so it is a good product. Needed around 4 litres so bought a 1 litre container as well to allow an easy pour down the dipstick tube. No spills and no cleaning up a funnel afterwards.
Review transmission fluid after having it a week or so? OK, here goes:This is quite surprisingly a liquid, not quite sure what I was expecting but ‘fluid’ in the description is a bit of a clue.I noticed no attempt was made to specify any likely allergic reactions, average daily servings or calorific values. But that’s probably fine as long as you don’t give it to your kids.However, this fluid has improved the front suspension on my Triumph Bonneville 750 quite markedly and I unreservedly recommend it for this purpose.
Right grade of ATF for power steering pump; Castrol world wide renowned company it's about good as you can get.
Fluid considerably improved power steering, next move is to check for leaks!
This product works great as Power Steering fluid where Dex III is recommended. Just be careful when you add it to old (black) fluid. When it foams you need to remove or suck out the contaminated fluid (with foam) until it becomes clear (without bubbles). I jacked up the front wheels to remove pressure from the system whilst turning the steering. In the past I neglected replacing power steering fluid and got a leak after replacement - a very costly exercise. Used one bottle to clean the system and another during fill.
