Car didn't blow up. Seems to like it. But then again I was also a fan of the $1 top up bottles you used to be able to buy at the servo so what would I know. I have a 1996 BMW 328i and the oil works just fine in my lil red car Vroom Vroom! FYI, The 318i same model won Bathurst. Soooo yeah. It's bona fide Bathurst oil!

Nice, smoothly running engine. 15w-40 is right for summer in hot weather. Good for high mileage at 300k.

Since new in 1995, my Dakkar Rally winning model 3.5 V6 Pajero has only used Castrol GTX, until the present. Now approaching 250,000 kilometers the engine has not been touched and only requires 1/4 litre oil top up between 5k services. Fantastic. Drives like new and I am a retired Highway Patrol Officer used to big V8s with radar.

This oil does appear to have a cleaning action. Engine definitely sounds smoother.Used twice so far, no issues.
It's my personal opinion, based on my experience and observations, that older Toyota petrol vehicles (i.e. Camry 1997-2002, Corolla 2002-2007) perform very well using this oil. This product is the replacement of the Castrol GTX 3 motor oil... the former product in the red-coloured container. This product has very similar specifications to that of GTX Professional 15W-40 used by many quality workshops and dealerships across Australia.Itβs a well-priced oil for those who change their oil regularly and intend on using a good quality motor oil at a reasonable price. Always refer to your manufacturer's handbook for recommended oil specification and viscosity.
Great product for car's with a couple of km's on it! The rav4 2.4lt 4 cylinder has 300,000 km's done on engine and 5w is too thin now. Put this in and doesn't use a drop of oil and running beautifully smooth, doesn't lose any power either, I recommend used it now for last two services and this being 3rd! I get it on special for about $30 and at this price is a bargain.
Been using in my 1986 Merc since forever - 333,333km still running strong, not burning any oil between changes. Highly recommended for high mileage cars.
Ran this oil for 260,000ks in my focus 2.0 duratec which has 360,000ks comp was 175psi even (+ - 3 psi) just pulled the engine down for a suss rings & bearings all look mint & all still within spec : )
Really good for my Toyota. Top quality oil for cars with 200k or more on the clock.Get the 6 litre SCA special version if possible, however this is a really good quality oil
I use this in my military land rovers for engine, gearbox, and transfer case. In part due to the perpensity for gearbox and transfer to share oil, bit I add some teflon additive. These old boxes don't like gear oil as it can damage the oil pump and synchros.9 years on and no issue.
