I am a tough customer!The Caudalie Vinosun Ocean Protect Very High Protection Lightweight Cream SPF50+ is, for my needs and preferences one of the very best, if not THE best sunscreen I have tried to date. Why? It is a truly lightweight fluid that glides onto the skin leaving it feeling so healthy, so hydrated, so comfortable and juicy yet never oily or smothered. I would describe it as being very hydrating, like a watery drink for the skin. It does leave a plump and glass-like finish to the skin but it is never greasy and absolutely not heavy int he slightest. It wears beautifully under make up, even improving the look of my base products as it leaves a hydrated canvas and helps prevent those dry patches. I do always allow at least 20-30 minutes after application before I apply my base product but I just use this time to do eye makeup or to potter! As I have said, my skin can be very oily in places and yet this sunscreen does not exacerbate this as it is so hydrating. Often oily skin can produce more oil as it is so dehydrated so having a hydrating base can actually help.There is one thing I should mention that is one of this sunscreen's best features but that is also something to be prepared for. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that this sunscreen has no parfum, no fragrance and no essential oils, all of which irritate sensitive skin. It does, however have the very faintest whiff of a natural scent and that scent is...like the bottom of a fish tank! Please do not let this put you off as it is so subtle that most people wouldn't even pick up on it. It also wears off within nano-seconds of application. I would just be being a bit unfair if I didn't mention the one and only slight niggle with what is otherwise the perfect sunscreen. Some days, I don't even detect this but others, it just reminds me that this sunscreen is truly free from artificial fragrance and I'd rather smell a whiff of fish tank than have my skin break out or turn red raw!

I've been SEARCHING for a facial suncream for YEARS. I've wasted so much money trying out products on the shelves of Boots and Superdrug. A few months ago I made the switch to natural/non-toxic products due to health issues and oh my god this stuff is amazing. As someone with skin that gets oily quickly every other suncream I've tried has turned me into an oil slick, has my hair stuck to my forehead and pills up under makeup. But this stuff soaks in and you can barely feel it! Once it's soaked in my makeup goes over it flawlessly! AND it's 50+SPF! I am v. happy!

I have oily dehydrated skin so I do prefer sunscreens that are more hydrating and glowy. This keeps my skin comfortable without drying it. It's a little oily when first applying it but it settles well into the skin without being greasy. I appreciate how easily spreadable it is, and no white cast. It has a slight smell but it goes away after application.
I like this sunscreen, its natural and non irritating and is super moisturising. This is my second tube and I gotta say it doesn't last too long for me, perhaps I'm using too much of it. It does have a weird smell but it doesn't bother me since it doesn't linger. The only thing that doesn't make this a holy grail or an excellent product for me is the pilling. It pills up quite badly with a variety of products I wear under or over it. This wouldn't be a problem if you're using this with no make up and with the right cream underneath which may require some trial and error to find that.
I love Caudalie products but this isn't my favourite. It has a nice texture, rubs in easily and is an effective sunscreen. I like the idea of no added fragrance, but sunscreen in general does have a scent which may be better disguised with a little fragrance. This smells slightly cheesy when wet, although the smell disappears as soon as it dries.
My favourite SPF so far. It’s thin and liquidy so goes nicely on the skin and I can apply my make-up shortly after. There’s no white cast at all. It does have a little bit of a smell at first, but to me, it soon dissipates. It gives a dewy effect to the skin so if that’s not for you then you may not like it. Has given me great protection so far in the hot weather.
I bought this product after I realised I’ve damaged my skin barrier and was in serious need of some TLC. Before using this I was suffering from breakouts, dry flaky skin and dullness. After 5 days of using this at night alongside the Allies of skin barrier recovery cream my skin has been transformed! I couldn’t recommend it enough. I only use it at night so I can’t comment how it sits under make up but for me once a day is enough to see the benefits of this amazing product.
This sunscreen is so worth it. I was trying to find a good lightweight sunscreen that made me glow and wouldn’t clog my pores. There is a slight burn in the eye after about 6 hours of working but overall it worked great. It blended seamlessly (I have tan skin) and felt very lightweight considering it is sunscreen. Compared to a lightweight skin tint, it was lighter than that. I recommend to anyone who doesn’t like the feeling of a thick layer of stuff on their face but needs to protect their skin. I love it
