This spotting scope is perfect. Low color distortion and high image quality. Best image quality required sunny weather and good atmosphere condition if you want to watch on far away distance like 3km + Also highly required good tripod if u dont like watching to shakes.

Overall, money well spent. I donβt use it for hunting, I live on the 55th floor of a building in Manhattan and have a spectacular view of the Hudson. No I donβt have apartment buildings near by, the boat, helicopter, fixed wing and other water traffic make for an active area. The only complaint is that under maximum magnification, focus is nearly impossible... I have a very sturdy tripod, it just never seems to be able to zero in on a subject and as a result I need to back off the magnification. Green? How about black as a color option.....

I bought the scope in May, 2022. and now it's September 2022. The eyepiece fell off the body of the scope. Celestron service indicates it should be glued and screwed on. It is only held on by a thin layer of glue. A serious flaw and glad my camera wasn't attached when it fell off.

I use this scope for F Class shooting and scoring, Can't fault it. Compares favourably to other scopes on the range, better than the Leopolds on the line and even better than the swaro 65mm objectives on the line - great adv in the 80mm objective I suppose. Gives best performance at 48-52X mag. At 60X the mirage can tend to be a killer. Great service from B&H and I'd recomend this scope and business to other without qualification.
The scope is solidly built and comes with a good warranty. Build quality seems good, and I have had no issues so far. Images have been bright and crisp all the way up to 60x, even in the evening or in shadows. I'm considering getting another eyepiece to allow up to 96x or maybe even 120x magnification for looking at planets. The T-adapter works great with my Canon DSLR. Only downsides are that the scope is a bit on the heavy end, and the sighting slot isn't all that useful (though it is better than nothing, I suppose).
I have been in business for just over a year as a professional birding guide for IndiGo Birding Nature Tours. I have also been president of our local Audubon chapter. Celestron provides me with equipment for my clients to use, and I am often asked what optics I recommend. I have no reservations about promoting Celestron equipment. Other birders often comment about the superior image this scope produces: clear, bright, and sharp. It's relatively lightweight, easy to use, and handles the elements well. I had a hard time keeping the scope from getting loose on the tripod head at first, but super glue has solved that issue. I would also agree with another reviewer that the coarse focus knob is a little tight. High quality construction and great optics. Cannot tell the difference between this Celestron and a $3,000 Swarovski, though I have not used them side-by-side.It is also very easy to use. Focus, zoom, and eye relief all work great. The only negative is that the case is a little bulky, but it can stay on while scope is in use which is great.
Quick delivery to Sweden (5 days), just excellent service. The scope is really well built and balanced. Images are bright and crisp. Close to no chromatic aberrations. Sharpness is very god from 20x to around 40-45x. After that it falls off noticeably and using the max 60x is only for larger objets. For me this is as expected at this price point, and many high end scopes don't even go further than 45-55x as maximum. To summarize very pleased with the scope for birding which I use it for. And remember to use a really sturdy tripod. I got to buy a second hand one and it made such a difference compared to my old tripod that I fist used for this scope.
I bought four scopes: one low price of the medium price range, one in the high in the medium price range and two low in the high price range. Yes, to be fair, I put this guy against the Nikon Monarch 82mm, the Kowa TSN-773 77mm and the Kowa TSN-883 88mm.Two stars for the ability to see distant objects and the included case (I did not unpackage). Difficult to focus, stiff focusing. Not much light coming in to the eye.H E A V Y.I'm going to spend at least $500 more for better optics (ED vs, HD), less weight and easier focusing.Tomorrow, with hope, it will be a typical PNW low light day and I can get out to compare the other scopes.
I am pleased over all with the optics. I can not use it with my glasses on despite what they say about long eye relief. But I see ok without the glasses so it is OK. My primary use is for photography so it is fine. I am impressed with the bulk and heft of the scope. Definitely a tripod use only device. But it is nice and stable due to the mass. The general build including the eyepiece is massive. Worth the money.
