Overall the Celsius RK1 Half Rack has done the job since purchase. Able to perform all the exercises I had planned and does not take up too much room. However, there are a couple of gotchas to be aware of.- The olympic weight holders on the back come off easily when removing weights. Once tightened, they have a "bump" in them which stops plates from going to the base- The adjustable weight holders have had the coating strip off which has resulted in some "splinters" in my hands when adjusting them- Be aware if you are on the "taller" side (I'm 6ft1) that you will struggle with the top bar being too low.Overall though, I am happy with the value for money and will use the half rack for a long time to come.

It is a very good half rack for the money. There are a few things that could have been made a bit better. The adjustable racks for the weights scratch the paint. They are also a bit sketchy when you put weights on over about 100kg. The chin up bar has started to rust at the welds and the unit is inside. The card board packaging was of very poor construction and made transportation a massive pain. These are the only negatives it is stable and sturdy and a welcome adoption to a home gym.

I find the product is fit for purpose, and sturdy. As i use the rack for home gym purposes, the product does fit into the space at home where i wanted it to be. However i find staff advice when i pick up at my click and collect point was anything but confusing. As the box was quite large i have had to remove the product from its box but leaving the protective packaging in place for the various parts. I have done so in front of two staff members. I was told that if I removed the unassembled product from the box into my private car I would void the warranty. I then stated that i am taking out the product out of the box to fit into my car in front of them and also so they would know if there were any missing parts before i return home. I then posed a question to them what’s the difference then if i had this item delivered to my home then open the box at home. Are you then going to then say I voided the warranty by opening the box at home? To which I had no reply from your staff member. I then added that if I was to get this product delivered then found that there were parts missing you then would have required me to call customer service and/or bring the product back to a store unboxed anyway plus waiting for replacement and shipment etc. And wouldn’t we arrive then at the situation where the product has been removed out of the box anyway?

Great quality. Great price. Stable, even when not bolted to floor. Easy to build and good dimensions for all exercises. Coupled with incline/decline/flat bench and it opens a whole lot of options. Makes it much easier to lift heavier weights and incorporate squats, bench press and chins into workout. Wish I’d bought one years ago. Such good value for the price.
I brought this Rack recently and am impressed with the quality considering the price. It was quite strait forward to setup but was very time consuming (As should be expected). It would have been nice if a spanner was included, despite having one at home I still needed a another to secure both sides. Fortunately I didn’t have any structural defects on the squat rack and everything fit perfectly. One thing I was worried about was not having enough space for my arms when bench pressing but after testing it space wasn’t a problem. Overall the stability of this product is about a 8/10, it has a slight wobble when using the chin up bar but nothing similar models wouldn’t have. I brought the Celsius flat bench to accompany this rack and so far so good. Good rack, would ... MoreI brought this Rack recently and am impressed with the quality considering the price. It’s sturdy enough for barbell work and chin ups. The grip on the bar is pretty rough so either your hands are going to get sore or you need to wear gloves when doing chin ups. If you squat full range this isn’t the best set up because the support rails are very narrow. But it is one of the cheaper set ups around at the moment and it’s not terrible value for what it is. I wouldn’t recommend this for a power lifter, calisthenics athlete or someone wanting to squat full depth.
Good rack for an intermediate lifter, I was weighing up between this one and the full rack but decided to go with the half rack to maximise space in my garage. Unit feels solid and stable, my main gripe is there is no barbell lock mechanism when loading the bar so be careful when loading to ensure bar doesn't overbalance on one side and flip (done this before and went through plaster wall). The safety catch is also a little narrow and the plates sometimes hit the front bar when squatting. I use a standard 7kg barbell with this which does just fit this unit.
Good equipment for the price. Relatively quick and easy to assemble and will handle more weight than most people will ever need. It's a bit smaller than the average half rack in all dimensions, which saves space but also brings about a couple of negatives;- The distance between the main upright and the front upright is smaller than most would be used to, which will feel unnatural for squatting, especially when walking the weight out. But it is workable and I've already adapted to it- The distance between the left and right uprights is small, such that it will inhibit you taking a very wide bench press grip. I can still take my normal grip but my hands are touching the pegs. Then at the bottom of the eccentric on bench your elbows can touch the left and right ... MoreGood equipment for the price. I can still take my normal grip but my hands are touching the pegs. Then at the bottom of the eccentric on bench your elbows can touch the left and right permanent safety crossbars if you tend to flare your elbows, or will touch one of the sides if you hadn't set up perfectly centred on the bench.- the height is such that an average/tall male will be at about half elbow flexion while holding the pull up bar, so pull ups will need to be done with bent legsAll in all it's fine. Some design deficiencies will require you to adapt your techniques to be somewhat non standard, but it is entirely workable. For picking it up; unpacked from the box it fit in my Rav 4 with seats laid down. The tallest uprights being the limiting factor, we just laid them down from the boot up to the centre console in the front.
It's a solid half rack that caters for small spaces. It allows for most of your essential exercises, assuming you have a standard weight bar and weights etc. Quality feels very good and the rack feels sturdy and doesn't wobble. It's relatively easy to put together (i'm not the handiest person, but was able to put it together ok, albeit with some frustrations), but would recommend more than one person to help you hold things up for safety reasons. Note that some people may feel their range of motion when exercising will be limited as you've only got around 30-38cm range of motion from the main poles to the shorter poles (depending where you place the bar holders), particularly when bench pressing. You will need at least a 170cm length bar. All in all, very satisfied ... MoreIt's a solid half rack that caters for small spaces. But it is a half rack after all, so is to be expected.
Great little rack! Sturdy and solid. I was initially worried about the sizing due to reading reviews on rebel, however i find it isn't as bad as people were saying, for me anyways. Perhaps for larger males it may not be wide enough, the only thing is the space between the upper rails and front safety bars, could maybe be a little wider but its not a deal breaker and no real problem, just have to be mindful. Really easy and quick to put together. It would be great if it came with j hooks to protect the bar a little more, i already have scrape marks on the uppers (bought a couple weeks ago). I have put clear tubing from bunnings on the safety rails and also the bar hooks to help protect the barbell a bit more.Overall, would highly recommend! esp for a first rack
