Went to Supercheap late on a Saturday. Took the old battery from my mower. Eckardt (sorry if it's wrong mate) served me. He hunted through the stock until he finally found the right one. It could have been missed but he persevered so I was able to go home, fit the new battery and the mower cranked over quickly and started first go. Top marks

Replacement for battery not charging in ride on mower. None available in SCA brand so bought Century which is reliable as ever good solid battery.
Great battery with instant power to start. Easy to install, I just put it on the table which triggered the auto response from my father in law to replace the old one.
Can't comment on the long term life yet but the battery is definitely doing more than I expected. I walked in on it and saw it had made a factory while I was out and was bringing all my power tools to life. I am now in day 47 of a hostile battle with the tools and it doesn't look to be ending anytime soon. I do believe this battery was actually skynet and this may be the rise of the machines. Direct replacement, the previous (identical) battery lasted 15 years! So impossible to go past this.
Works well and fitted nicely. I did need to run my 8.5mm drill through the terminal holes though to remove the burrs so that the standard M8 screws fitted. I thought that it was made in Australia but it did have a Korean sticker on it.
I purchased this Century battery as they advertise that they are Australian through and through. This battery was not made by Century in Australia but is a foreign manufacturer rebranded as Century. So paid way too much for the battery and won’t get caught again.
I purchased the battery intending to use it in the ride on mower the same day, however before installing it gave it a level test to make sure it was fully charged. It came up holding only about 1 third charge, so had to put it on a trickle charge for 14 hours before it came up fully charged. Bit of a disappointment buying a new battery only to find it was almost flat.
If you are buying this battery, make sure you know whether your current one has the +vs terminal on the left or the right - there are two versions, U1 and U1R that are otherwise identical batteries. Supercheap Auto stocks both, but likely you won’t be able to get the leads to reach if you get the wrong one.
