CeraVe continues to impress. This product is perfect for every day, and a little goes a long way. The size is perfect for travel or any on-the-go scenario. The first benefit of this product is the lack of any harsh smell. What I did notice though is that this product works better to remove liquid makeup than it does to remove foundation or eyeliner. I would then say this would work best in a makeup removal system (not necessarily a one-product routine). When I did attempt to remove my foundation with this product I had to press and rub harder which irritated my sensitive skin. For what this product does though, it does very well. I will continue to use it in the future.

I have normal skin. I love using makeup cleansing balms as the first step to removing my makeup at the end of the day. I tried the CeraVe Makeup Removing Cleanser Balm and it quickly and easily melted my makeup away - like most balms do. However, it left a very slimy , slippery , oily residue after rinsing off with water. It was far too oily of an after effect for my liking. Of course it was wonderful and helping my skin feel moisturized after using. Plus, I always wash my face with a cleanser after using a melting balm to get rid of all of the dirt and oil left behind. I just didn't like how my face felt after using this one. To slippery and messy. It does melt the makeup away effortlessly and beautiful. Would say it's gentle and easy to use. I really didn't like this product. I was confused how to use it at first until I realized the idea behind it was like a "cold cream" where you apply it OVER your makeup to break it down. The texture comes sort of waxy in the container, kind of like coconut oil, but you scoop it out and it melts with your body heat into an oily mess.
