I have been enjoying CeraVE Daily Moisturizing Lotion for Normal to Dry Skin several years because the formula provides hydration to my face without ever clogging my pores. Although I wish CeraVe was cruelty-free, I find myself continually repurchasing many of their items because they work well with my skin. I'm never left feeling greasy because this lotion has dimethicone. Dimethicone is a silicone-based ingredient that provides skin with a silky smooth texture, helps seal your natural moisture barrier, and fills in fine lines and wrinkles. I even use the cream formula of CeraVe in the tub that's also meant for body, on my face and never have had any breakouts from these formulas. When using this lotion, remember a little goes a long way, wash your hands before applying, and use it on your neck/chest area. This lotion is lightweight, water-based, has glycerin which will lock in moisture, has no fragrance which can avoid irritation, and has several different ceramides. Ceramides help to restore your skin's natural barrier. This lotion also contains Hyaluronic Acid which plumps up the skin and adds extra moisture. Although the packaging is not fancy, the lotion itself will never harm your skin and feels so silky without any greaseball faces! How many of you use this on your bodies? I have eczema prone skin which generally means I’ve been through all the works with moisturisers 😩 Aveeno, E45 Diprobase and so on! It would be effective on my skin for a short period of time but not really help my makeup application and just generally making my skin feel heavy and overly oily. This stuff really does it's job, and I love how much you get in the big bottle. I was shocked the first time I used it because it did such an amazing job at healing up the dry spots I get on my hands and forehead. Sadly I've stopped using this for the moment because I started to have an allergic reaction (eye swelling) to something, I believe either this or my cerave cleanser. I've switched cleansers but I haven't reintroduced this to my routine yet to see if it was the cause. I used it for about a month before my skin started reacting, but my skin didn't stop reacting badly until cutting out cerave products so I was left with a swelling eye for a month because I really didn't want to stop using this. I have searched for lotions that will help my skin because my skin is very sensitive so I need some thing that is not thick and oily and will not break out my skin . I started using this lotion about three years ago and my skin has significantly changed. Are used to be scared of using lotion on my face because I didn’t want to add oil to it because my face I thought it was very oily but instead, I came to figure out that it was actually super dry because I would never put lotion on. I'm addicted to it. It has so many things that your skin craves and needs. It's extremely lightweight. Thank (whatever higher power you choose), because lightweight is a MUST for me. If I put anything remotely cream like on my face I instantly start sweating. No matter what time of the year. If I'm not pouring sweat right away, that means it's going to happen after I get my makeup on. It's so light that it's close to being a water-cream moisturizer. Since l've been using the moisturizer, I started to dip in to other CeraVe products. I couldn't be happier! Way less breakouts, no more dry skin and my skin just looks better overall.

The lack of humidity will quickly reek havoc on your skin. Having previously tried CeraVe's sunblock products, it was an easy choice to make when it comes to a body moisturizer. This CeraVe product has that purity that I look for, no nonsense but total quality. I also look for products that are fragrance free as I feel sometimes the scent can mask a lower quality product. A little goes a long way. It is worth it to me to pay a tad bit extra above the store brand. Also, knowing that National Association's endorse CeraVe products is an added stamp of quality. I tried CeraVe and I’d say that it did better than most, but wasn’t the best moisturizer I’ve tried. Oddly enough, the most effective lotions have been the Bath and Body Works ultimate hydration body creams with hyaluronic acid. However, of course they’re all scented. Since I love wearing fragrances, I often need an unscented moisturizer so that the lotion’s scent does not mess with the fragrance. This is where I wanted CeraVe to perform equally well to the BBW creams. While CeraVe doesn’t perform as well on my skin, it does keep my skin moisturized for a few hours before I need to reapply.
