Cetaphil, Deep Hydration, Skin Restoring Water Gel, 1.7 oz (48 g)

i tried this in comparison to Neutrogena gel cream and while i really liked that one, this one to me was better as a little goes a long way! at first i put it on like the other creams and it was very sticky. i read in other reviews that you dont need as much product and its so true. no more feeling sticky! it hydrates well and i get more for my money that way. will definitely purchase again.

Healing Gel in a Jar!

First, I like that it’s fragrance free! My skin was having an irritated reaction from something else I used and once I started applying this in my 3 step routine on a somewhat damp face to lock in moisture, my skin has since then has healed. The bumps are fewer as my skin is also dryer during this time of year it is very moisturizing and doesn’t leave too much of a tacky residue and isn’t oily. For the price it’s worth every penny and a little goes a long way.

I wouldn't but this ever again!!

I have extremely oily sensitive skin and this moisturizer seemed like a great option. The ingredients list was also promising as well as the raving reviews. This is so sticky and uncomfortable on the skin not to mention no other skin care can be added on top of this ( including makeup) I am about four hours into my day and my face is pilling. I am really disappointed... I was so excited to try this and now I will just be making my way back to the first aid beauty water gel.

Love Hate

It’s great for my sensitive skin, didn’t break or irritate me. It felt soo good going on. BUT like others have said IT IS STICKY. Sensory overload, it feels disgusting while it’s drying. I can’t stand it. I really wanted to like it, a friend told me to just use it before bed but the feeling of the tacky feeling on my pillow- I can’t. I recommend it just in case it works for you but for me, I will not be buying it again.

Not moisturizing

I have always loved Cetaphil products. I’m 54 with dry skin. It’s winter & I walk outside so my skin is particularly dry right now. The deep hydration water gel is horrible. It evaporates immediately and feels like a tight mask that needs to be washed off. I strayed from my regular Cetaphil routine thinking this product would be moisturizing, it’s not.

Perfect lightweight daily moisturizer!

I have oily, sensitive skin that’s prone to breakouts at the slightest inconvenience. This product is very, very light- no scent, no color. It goes on smooth, albeit a bit sticky until it dries. Little goes a long way. My skin is hydrated, brighter, feels softer, and some of my redness is soothed as well. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight daily moisturizer!

Read this before you buy!!

If youre an oily gal and been having issues with moisturizer working...Im an oily gal, very oily. Since winter my skin changed and I was having a hard time keeping my skin hydrated. No amount of moisturizer worked. Until I started using the Innisfree gel moisturizer, which is ny holy grail. When that isnt in stock, i find other options. I came across this one and read the revies and they are always mix.My actual thoughts: its a lot thicker than others. I do feel it seeping into my skin which i like, but i also noticed it doesnt keep my skin hydrating like the innisfree one. One thing i have the biggest complaint, it pills sooo freakin much!! I kept thinking it was because i didnt let everything dry before using this, nope the product itself pills so much. Really good for all skin types

Fragrance free. Love the gel texture. Is very cooling to the skin when first applied. I would say this is moderately hydrating after several hours. Very comparable to Clinique moisture surge but at a much lower price. The addition of ceramides and/ or peptides would put this product well over 5 stars.

Stick Film

This moisturizer is definitely gel-like, so much so that it didn’t absorb into my skin, it kinda just sat on top of it, creating a sticky film almost. This caused it to pill on my face when I rubbed it. Like I was rubbing dirt off my face. It felt sticky from the moment I applied. I usually use Cetaphil’s Rich Hydrating Moisture Cream but wanted to try this when I saw it. Unfortunately, this one doesn’t compare at all. Maybe if your skin is like extra dry this might work?

Sticky at first, but great

I love this stuff! I picked up a free sample of it at my target and fell in love, just bought the full size one! I took a star off because it does feel sticky for maybe five minutes, but then it sinks into the skin. A very refreshing feeling moisturizer! I suggest they change their packaging, though. I don’t like things in a tub! Less hygienic.
