Chanel Platinum Égoïste is a fragrance I have worn and loved for years. I started wearing it after owning Chanel Chance eau Fraïche for almost a decade and becoming more familiar with the Chanel line of fragrances. It is one I like less than Bleu de Chanel but definitely wear more often. This cologne is a very clean, citrus forward fragrance that I have seen many refer to as a “barbershop” scent. I would not recommend every Chanel fragrance for unisex wear but know this one works very well for females as well as men. This fragrance is more abrasive than every other offering from the fragrance house which makes it less appealing to some than the more polite fragrances in the line. However, this is always a nice addition to a collection and a fragrance I recommend for a well rounded Collector.

From the first spray you get a burst of green and floral freshness from the rosemary, geranium and lavender notes that can ride for at least 6-8 hours of decent projection, and maybe 12 hours of total longevity on my skin. On my quest into looking for the perfect barbershop scent, or what they call fougeres, I stumbled upon this gem. I knew I had to have it as I kept coming back to it after smelling other perfumes in its category. It smells clean, spicy and fresh, without being soapy. The metallic notes just brings it to the top. This perfume projects the best at warm weather. One can imagine a clean cut, well-put man to be wearing this.

Bought this as a special gift for my girlfriend's 50th birthday. What do you buy someone who has everything? - CHANEL of course. She absolutely loved it. As I had to fly for her party, I wanted something small, light to carry & beautiful at the same time. This was the perfect gift. Only negative is that Myer don't seem to wrap as good as the actual Chanel shop. They are also scabby with giving out samples. This was my 2nd bottle purchased in as many months & they still didn't give me any free samples of anything even after spending so much money. 👎

Elevated, Refined, and Crisp Scent

I smelled this cologne years ago and completely forgot about it until recently. I absolutely love this fragrance. It is fresh, crips, and clean smelling. It's a great addition to my rotation for spring/summer and I am 100% satisfied with it. It awakens the senses and the only scent it smells slightly similar to is the original Fierce by Abercrombie except it is way more refined, elegant, and elevated. My wife also loves it! Do yourself a favor and pick this fragrance up!

It is a very exquisite and chic perfume, I would say it is suitable for any occasions and all gender friendly. I like the way it lands on the skin and it has really fine mist and spray that doesn't give you a punch.The scent itself is cool with a bit warm tone note, unexpected harmonious. It is unique and stand out in a way that is easier to accept and quite addictive. It really says the name of the perfume itself, it is a statement but not like the others with too masculine and aggressive vibe, it is more towards the softer side.

Hands down, the best men's fragrance of all time. Fresh, clean, elegant, refined, classy and unique. I'm a woman and this fragrance is for a sophisticated man, not a boy or young man who is unsure of himself.Women will absolutely love this. Trust me. Don't let the 1993 launch date dissuade you from buying it. It's 2024 and I've never smelled any men's fragrance that tops Platinum Egoïste.If you like spicy, winter scents, try the original Egoïstse. It's amazing, too, but they're very different.

The classic masculine Chanel

An amazing old school barbershop type fragrance, that quickly dries down to become a fabulously sophisticated fresh woody scent that is unique while remaining mass appealing. Lasts a solid 8 hours on my skin. Reminds me a little of the dry down of bleu de Chanel eau de parfum as it accomplishes the same task but in a different way. Chanel always delivers smooth elegant fragrances that aren't overpowering and obnoxious keeping the french tradition of perfumery.
